NBA news

This doesn't suprise me one bit. Out of all the major sports, NBA officials have the most influence on how the game is played, and are absolutely the most biased, inconsistent officials, which makes watching the NBA even more difficult.

To some degree, tracing and proving this kind of thing could be impossible.

What if an NBA ref had a distant cousin in Las Vegas, and
simply told him occasionally what games and what teams to
bet on, knowing he was working those games.
A little subtle bias could certainly affect the point spread
easily, and since the ref himself never went near a betting
parlor, how would it ever get identified?

I don't say they haven't got a case, all I am saying is for every such case they uncover,
I wouldn't be surprised if there are dozens more they never will uncover.

The NBA for years and years has had this questionable officating, giving the stars preference etc.

Van Gundy was fined a huge amount of money a couple of years ago and threatened by the league because he insinuate that the officials were biased etc. I really wonder if he or others knew/suspected things but just couldnt come out and say it.

Something like this really would be very difficult to not notice especially among other officials or a supervisor of officials.

This is not good but I really hope that the league wakes up and starts to call games the way the rules are written. No preference.
