Day #2 of the Orlando NBA Summer League

Magic 85 - Celtics 82
--Bryan Mullins played about 4 minutes for the Celts, had an assist but didn't score.
Coby Karl is making his bid for a roster spot with 18 pts/5 reb, Ryan Anderson (ex-California fwd) had 33 for the Magic squad.

Jazz 83 - Net/Sixers 68
--Jazz's Eric Maynor 12 pts/5 rebs/4 asst & James augustine 6 pts/6 reb.
DePaul's Dar Tucker scoreless.
Nets/Sixers' Chris Douglas-Roberts had 27 pts, Blake Ahearn had 3 pts on 1-4.

Pacers 91 - Thunder 88
--Tyler Hansbrough didn't start but came off the bench for 25 minutes to absolutely punish the Thunder. Hansbrough had 23 pts, missed only 4 shots all night, 4 rebs, 3 asst, and even hit 2-2 from the NBA 3-pt range.
I just have a sneaky feeling that if we save all the comments made about Hansbrough, there'll be a few people eating their words shortly.
Shaun Livingston DNP for the Thunder, James Harden 19 pts.

In last night's NBA summer games..

Pacers beat Jazz, 95-79
Hansbrough 24 for the Pacers, 5 rebs, 14-14 from the FT line, zero turnovers.
For the Jazz, James Augustine had 12 pts on 6-7 and 5 rebs in 18 min.

Thunder beat Celtics, 94-82
Thunder's Shaun Livingston 10 pts, 6 rebs.
Russell Westbrook continues to impress with 26 pts, while the Celtics' Bryan Mullins is not, gatting zero pts, zero rebs, zero asst, and two fouls.

Magic beat sixers/Nets, 108-86
Blake Ahearn played 17 min for the Sixers/Nets and got 11 pts, 4 asst.

Last night's DAY 4 Summer League results

Thunder beat Nets/Sixers 83-62
For Thunder - Shaun Livingston DNP - sat on bench with an ice pack on left knee. (it was said to be "precautionary" - same knee he previously injured)
For Nets/Sixers - Blake Ahearn 10 min/3 pts

Jazz beat Magic 92-84

Pacers beat Celtics 91-88
For the Pacers - Tyler Hansbrough 22 pts, 5 rebs.
For the Celts - Bryan Mullins didn't play as he had already left to join the Bulls' summer team that'll be playing in Las Vegas starting Friday night!
Chris Lofton 6-8 from 3-pt.

Summer League..

In Orlando
Jazz beat Thunder 70-60 - for the Thunder Shaun Livingston 33 min, 12 pts, 5 reb, 4 asst
Celts beat Sixers/Nets 92-79
Pacers beat Magic 68-54 Hansbrough 5 pts/9 reb

In Las Vegas
Rockets 73 - Warriors 69 - Stephen Curry makes his debut with 16 pts, 3 asst, but 7 personal fouls
Pistons 86 - Kings 77
Lakers 85 - Raptors 84 - Lakers' Adam Morrison 24 pts, Ex-Braves Patrick O'Bryant had a great game 15 pts/5 reb
Bucks 65 - Mavs 69 - Brandon Jennings 10 pt, 3 reb, 3 asst.

a couple more games...

In Las Vegas..
Stephen Curry hits for 29 points in Warriors 98-95 win over Kings
Tyreke Evans also filled the stat sheet but had a lot of turnovers.

Chase Budinger had a good game, 25 pts - Rockets over Mavs.

Today in the Spurs 92-86 win over Hornets, Anthony Tolliver had 9 pts/5 reb.

In Orlando - Shaun Livingston had one more good game before the Orlando Summer League ended.

Last night Bucks over Cavs in summer league play, 80-69
but Brandon Jennings had 23 pts/8 asst/5 steals.

Hasheem Thabeet off to a slow start, 9 pts, 2 rebs, 1 blk, 0 asst.

I just do not see Hasheem Thabeet as anything but a journey man who will come in and play as a backup. He just does not look like he has the drive to succeed at the NBA level. At best he'll be a Joe Smith type of player but with some height.

Patrick O'Bryant has another decent game tonight...
Started....played 29 minutes, 12 pts, 4 rebs, 2 asst, 2 blocked shots.
Helped the Raptors beat the Blazers 92-87

Blake Griffin's debut...29 minutes, 11-15, 27 pts, 12 rebs, and 1-1 from 3 pt range!

Patrick O'Bryant has another decent game tonight...

....and the coach/Raptor personnel guy (not sure who) was saying during the broadcast that POB IS part of the Raptors plan and that they like what he offers.... that he just needs to get into better game shape where he can contribute 20+ mpg.

Patrick O'Bryant has another decent game tonight...
Started....played 29 minutes, 12 pts, 4 rebs, 2 asst, 2 blocked shots.
Helped the Raptors beat the Blazers 92-87....

Patrick is still very young...just turned 23...
He is basically the same age as Hasheem Thabeet and he's even younger than Tyler Hansbrough.
