Ncaa 10

ea bought the rights to it and 2k didnt want to pay a ridiculous price to keep the college game. 2k's basketball game is way better then ea's game.

Anyone played this yet? How does Bradley look? Worth buying? Thanks in advance

I know Fyrebyrd picked it up and immediately texted me and seemed pi$$ed off because they still have the uniforms from 2006. Apparently other schools in our conference have had their Uni's updated basically every year except for BU.

I bet you were wondering about gameplay but that was the first thing he said to me.

I agree whole heartedly. I do not like EA's college basketball game but I really did like 2k's. Too bad money drives everything these days.

The 2K game was much more fun, not only because of the game engine and gameply when playing a game of BB, but also the arena's, the level of depth in the Legacy mode, and the much more realistic recruiting. Recruiting is very hard in it. In the EA's games it seems like there are blue chippers everywhere for the taking and any kid with a bad rep(a premadona etc. ) is easy for a smaller school to get. I can be going to final 4's with small schools in 3 seasons on EA's game, but with 2K's you have to get to a big school b4 you can land more than one 4 star recruit or a 5 star it seems.

EA really screwed the consumer by forcing 2K out of most of the sports games.

I really loved the 2K games. 2k6 or 2k7 was the last one, which I still have. I tried to play the EA one last year and it was awful... I will say with a smaller school you can get mega recruits, you just have to be an awesome coach first. I had a coaching career where I started at Colgate, worked them into annual conference champs/tourney cinderellas. Took a promotion to Utah St, who I took to the NCAA 3 times, and won once after landing 5-stars in 3 straight years. Then took a job at Louisville and found that way too easy, kicked tail for 2 years before settling into a career job at Bradley. :) Bradley wasn't as easy as Louisville but I pulled down at least 1 5-star recruit every season, and had a #1 overall recruiting class after getting Peoria's own 5-star #1 overall nationally rated point guard. Won the NCAA twice and then just kinda stopped playing. Here's to Coach Les turning the real NCAA into a video game.

I got the game for Christmas, here is Bradley's roster and ratings:

Starters
C#54 74
PF#21 69
SF#24 74
SG #2 77
PG #5 75

Reserves:

PG#23 75 I guess CR is a point guard?
SF#13 71 probably uses TB's number from last year
PG#1 77
PF#44 74
C#41 68
SG#25 66
PG#0 65
SG#32 60
PG#3 61 I think this is Charonn since it's a freshman w/same height and weight
SG#4 61

low ratings for TB and AW but other than that not bad. Oh and MK is missing
BU is a B rating with B+ offense and a B defense rating
Most school are around a B in the Valley, most around B to A- is the Big Ten

I haven't tried it out much yet, but I'll tell you how I like it!:-D

I have owned this game since it came out. The most irritating thing to me is EA does CONSTANT stat and appearance updates if you get online and Bradley has never seen anything come from it. The numbers and stats for our players are still WAY off (No MK, TB wrong number, CR a PG, AW a TERRIBLE 3pt shooter, Eddren Mccain is basically white in the game as well).

My overally gameplay rating is pretty low too. Some things happen way to often (easy steals, blocks, ridiculous physics movements). The only reason I keep the game is to play buddies online.

This is spot on. I just got it on Thursday and was quite disappointed in the gameplay. However, I just upgraded from a PS2 to a PS3 on Thursday and am still giddy over the drastically improved graphics. The actual broadcast of the game on either CBS or ESPN is pretty sweet...although the commentary is drab and repetitive as usual.

I downloaded the rosters from the EA database and changed Ned into MK (sorry Ned). I put my own personal touch on the statistics but went overboard as usual and suddenly have a team that is A- across the board.

I also must add that I am very impressed with the Dynasty mode. It is a MASSIVE upgrade from PS2 and I look forward to playing around with it quite a bit.

I forgot to add that it I believe it's almost appalling how terribly other things are done in this game. The statpacks often flash in the game and the things read just terribly wrong or completely incoherent things. And cmon, since when does a team have 6 timeouts a game in college basketball.

And yet....I still own it...

I have only played a total of 4 games so I am still oblivious to most of the major flaws. I did notice that whenever it would say something like "11-2 Bradley run in the last xx:xx" it would never be close to the right timing. And I still don't understand how you properly play on-ball defense. In the PS2 versions, you simply held the R3 button down and you closely guarded the guy, but I can't seem to stay in front of anyone anymore.

When you've had some experience with the dynasty mode, let me know how it is, and what they've done with it. It's where I'd likely spend the most time in game anyway, so if it's quality, I may end up checking the game out.

the dynasty can be pretty fun. The recruiting is pretty good. It matters very much on how you do the year before. If you make a run through the NCAA you get an easier chance at signing how profile recruits, where as if you miss the NIT, you are stuck with mid to low tier recruits.

I still haven't been able to really figure that out. There is something with the right joystick, but it never seems to work for me. That is one of the few reasons that Fyrebyrd ever makes a run at beating me online, although he usually fails :)

On a side note, three point shooting is ridiculously easy in this game and that kind of bothers me. I'll put up over 30 to 40 three's in a game and it goes in like 60+% of the time. Just seems too easy, especially with people who shouldn't ever be shooting a three.

Last year I liked the gameplay for the most part except you could always drive baseline to score and if you used the backboard you always missed. To change that it is like the exact opposite now.....Everytime you dive baseline you lose the ball and seems like every backboard shot goes in now. Also 3s are way to easy for elight players in the game. One guy just kept shooting fade away 3s with John Wall and swishing them, it makes the games unrealistic and not fun. Also on offensive rebounds the player usually losses the ball, players get fouled when they drive in no matter how good the defense, offensive fouls are usually ridiculous flops, and defense in general seems to be luck of the draw if they miss or not. I was pretty good at last years game, but I haven't really adjusted to this one yet, and to be honest i dont know if I want to. I liked last year's better. I think I'll just start a dynasty with Bradley like I always do and not play online as much this year as normal. I usually like Dynasty mode so we'll see. My name is the same as this name, Bufan14, if someone has a PS3 and wants to play me sometime. I use Bradley and sometimes Ok St. If AW's 3s were rated correctly and TB was better, Bradley would actually be a very good team to use. At least its not like it used to be where every non-major conference team was rated at best a C, and every major conference team A to B:roll:

Anyway that is my analysis so far...
