Yeah they just showed the graphic, since 2001 it has gotten smaller and smaller for Non Powerhouse conferences
I thought I saw that 6 out of 10 AD's that formed the committee were fron non-BCS schools
What a joke that the NCAA selection commitee rewarded the BCS schools for not scheduling the mid-majors. This has to be the worse seeding and picking of teams that I have seen ever for the NCAA. I'll be pulling for every mid-major there is regardless.
How can Butler be a 9 seed and Illinois a 5? Also Mich a 10 seed?

I'm beginning to think that way too. I am seriously p**sed off at the moment! There is no ****ing way Creighton should have been left out! And the funny thing is I can make a case for Arizona making it in that they had some outstanding wins early in the season. But they limped their way into the tourney and Creighton which did everything right short of winning the Valley tourney was probably the first one out!
It is also apparent that ESPN and people like Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas are heavily influencing the selection committee! I will never trust these *****s again, even if Bradley earns an at-large bid in the future!
Edit: FYI, the word I used at the end was the "id" word, not the f-word. I'm surprised that was blocked out.

I actually think the committee did a better job this year than the past couple. BC's seed is what baffles me most...they should be closer to a 10 than a 7. Creighton and St. Mary's out are no surprises when you compare them closely to the teams that got in. The Mississippi State's, USC's, Cleveland State's, etc. is what kept them out. Creighton, St. Mary's, San Diego State, and Penn State were knocked out by Mississippi State, USC, Cleveland State, and Maryland beating NC State and Wake Forest this weekend.

This is another reason to not even bother talking about the RPI or SOS at end of season let alone the first week of the season. It's very very obvious that it has no affect on selections. Just matters how much money you have and if you win your conference tourney.

OH, he was just posed the question by Clark Kellogg if he was concerned about the diminishing number of mid-majors in the tourney. His response was that the committee does not look at conferences or specific teams.

Agreed except for Wisconsin. They had a 4-10 record against the RPI top 50 and had no business being there. Aside from that, fine. But give Wisconsin's spot to a Creighton or even a St. Mary's.

Why the low Pac-10 seeds? Washington a 4? UCLA and ASU a 6? Cal a 7? Yet USC gets a 10 even though they were a bubble team before they won the tourney. Then, of course, Arizona gets a 12.

Anyone notice that it was most of the mid majors that had the biggest selection show parties? Perhaps CBS would realize this and notice that some mid majors have huge fan bases that would watch on TV. Come on CBS, get movin LOL.

I'm heading to the gym and hopefully I'll feel better about the Tourney and want to watch the games. I'm usually geared up for it but this year it just seems it is becoming just like our politics. Money is what dominates! I'd love to see a mid-major publicly go out and ask a few majors for 1 and 1s and see how the talking heads spin that one when they get turned down. Schools like CU should do that because there is no way they could say that they will lose money because CU plays in a large arena and sells out.

Since Wisconsin is the one team that got in that I had out, I can't argue with you there. I thought Penn State would get their spot though, with Creighton, St. Mary's, and San Diego State right there as well.

Bobby Knight actually mentioned something on ESPN that makes sense lol. He just mentioned my idea of doing a 128 team play in round, the game is played at higher seed and the winner goes onto the big dance. Or you could have the auto bids and then have a 68 team play in round for the 34 at large bids.

For sure, I just wish they would stop saying it if they don't really mean it. When you look at San Diego St., St. Mary's, and Creighton, their "entire body of work" seems better than some of the "bubble teams" that got ridiculously high seeds.
