Officials now can call a technical foul and award the other team a foul shot if they deem a player fakes being fouled (flopping). In past seasons, they would issue a warning first. Now the warning is not necessary.

Also note that the NCAA will allow conferences to try new technology during game (video available on the bench), and conferences can experiment with trying 5 timeouts in the second half of games (at 17, 14, 11, 8, and 4 minutes instead of 16, 12, 8, and 4)
