New assist.

dog..........when JL got to BU he asked many former players to be assts......including DR and RM....and they both declined! He even asked the Hawk if memory serves.......but I do not recall him asking Billy Wright? :?

I think BU has done fine without living off the chicago kids....and done very well with the burbs! 8)

We need to have a presence in Chicago. When BU has been good, it has had a Chicago presence. Look no further than the Versace days (JJ, Jim, Hawk among others), and the Sweet 16 team (the heart and soul Tony Bennett). Maniscalco is a Chicago kid, and Jim is continuing to recruit the area hard. It doesn't have to be our base, but we do need a presence there.

Chicago is very important as if you can land the right players it will get you in on others and the publicity you can get from the news is huge ; I am not saying you need mostly chicago area players but a few could really boost the program .

A Coach out of Chicago would be great just as long as he is a good coach.

What about Weber's brother? Isn't he out of chicago? I think he'd be warmly welcomed here at BU.

I would take a coach who is a good recruiter first and coach/teacher second

I think our recruiting is strong... I'm worried about who's going to coach our post players, since that was LF's role on the staff I think.

Don't know if this has been said, but what about brining McClain back to Peoria strictly for recruiting reasons?

Sergio or Wayne McClain

Wayne would never do it and Sergio would be a terrible choice.

They both would never do it.

They both would be a terrible choice to work with the current coaches.

I was only joking - trying to beat somebody to it - a terrible suggestion. Anyone who knows me KNOWS I would become a Redbird fan if either one of those two coached at Bradley.
