NEW- Audio Interview with Head Coach Brian Wardle

Coach Wardle was on the Greg & Dan Show - here's the link to listen to it....

Talks about all the new guys who have signed....
Assistant coach Mike Black played in the same Bulgarian League and knew Georgi's coach, and Wardle has known Georgi's agent for over a decade
BW described Payton as the MOST EFFICIENT guard in the entire portal - older, experienced....
Kyle Grill - Wardle knew him and his brother - believes he's DI caliber right from the get-go
Noah Williams - experienced, Juco All-American....

"we're on them" was his response to a question about incoming big man- has already hosted some visits and more coming next week.
He said the guys who have already signed elsewhere (Burch, Yu & Jaquan) all (thru their agents) were asking MORE than Bradley was willing to pay, so they left and found somewhere else to sign.
Bradley still stresses academics but these other schools are largely NOT and stress the $$, and that of all that goes on in the portal... A LOT IS LIES!!! (gotta listen)

and more... nice interview but the whole discussion blows away the internet rumors that players leave because of disagreements with the staff.
That is NOT true- they leave for A- MONEY, B-playing time, and nothing else..

I just listened! I'm very excited for next year! It Appears Coach Wardle is building his team ready to compete right away for top billing in the Valley! Certainly these new players appear very good at the mid-Major level and that sounds exciting to me for next season! I know we can't recruit the top players in the portal, but we certainly can compete strong at the Mid-Major level! I'll take a Bradley team that will compete at the high mid-Major level!!!!

Thanks for sharing this. Good interview. Definitely a challenge getting and retaining players, but sounds like is adapting to the new environment.

yes, Coach sounds like he has adapted to the obvious frustration of every player having an agent and coming each
offseason with a demand for how much money they want to stay on the roster. It's turning into a GIANT Monopoly
game where you only have so much money and you try to buy up all the most attractive properties your budget affords,
but also aware that you can't spend all your $ on just one or two properties.
Several coaches like Tony Bennett, Jim Larranaga & Jay Wright quit their TOP coaching jobs for this reason of this very frustration dealing with agents.
