New Bios

his hair makes him look taller...he seemed taller than Sam Singh (6-9) when they stood next to each iother

Actually, I talked with DSE this past Sunday. He was an inch taller than Big Mike (I'd say 6'3") and very well built, at least 200 lbs.

If that is correct then that is a very solidly built freshman guard in the valley. At that size he will be a load both in practice for our other guards and as he matures he will be an issue for other teams. This is very good news.

I stood next to DSE on Sunday as well. He is 6'3" and definitely 190-200 lbs. He is built like a linebacker.

Since I have never seen DSE play, I really like the size and at a guard position that size will move people if he plays physical.

For those of you who have seen him play... does his size eliminate/limit quickness and how well does he jump... could he eventually get to a JC ability to rebound? Also, does he use his size to play physical?

He won't ever be as quick as a Daniel Ruffin, but I have seen enough of DSE to say he has good speed, and gets to the basket very well, even with double-teams. He is a good jumper, but not a great jumper like CR, though I have seen him dunk with ease. I am sure he will be a better rebounder than the most guards, and I think he will be able to bring a more physical style when he plays.

Do you think he can be compared overall to Dodie?

Yes, very similar, but DSE is more physically developed at this stage that DD was. DD might be a better leaper.

Could Big Mike be shrinking? A basketball player being listed as shorter than he really is may be a first!:)

If I am shrinking its in "Height only @ 6'2".....and DSE is a lot taller than I expected and he seems to be built very well.....remember 200 lbs next to me would make someone look very skinny! I also noticed that JP went up to 220 and MK went down to 205 pon the roster page! Talked to MK on Sunday and he loves the midwest and loves BU.....and so far is having a ball on the hilltop...he spoke very well and was a pleasure to talk to! :D

Stood and talked to DSE at the Manual/Central Alumni game at Central this summer. He is every bit of 6'2" and probably closer to 6'3", and I was very impressed with his build. He's really bulked up over the past 2+ years. I also witnessed him dunk the ball fairly easily off 1 step, no dribble, almost off straight verticle.

I have no real evidence to back this up--but I kind of envision DSE being a "surprise" player this season. I know Bradley is already deep in the backcourt but I think he will force himself into the rotation.
