New Bradley athletics facility

Nice! I love the look of the new women's arena, though they could have raised the floor a few feet as a tribute to Robertson Memorial Field House. ;) I also hope that the Markin Family Student Center gets completed before I graduate in May 2009 so I that get the chance to use it. :)

P.S. If the whole crowd is actually standing at the women's games in the new arena like in the video, I would be astounded.
 
Looks great. A couple questions though. Did anyone else notice that the paint area of all the courts was black? A little more re-branding, perhaps? Too bad we couldn't have added a couple thousand more seats to the arena and added a couple stories to the parking deck and been able to have mens games on campus. But that aside, the facilities look incredible.
 
Long, long overdue. In a perfect world I would like the on-campus arena to be a bit bigger with the hopes of perhaps hosting a men's game or two there every season, but overall I think everything looks great. I look forward to seeing all of this truly come to life.

As I understand it, it will be some combination of ICC, local high schools, and the potential of some games at Carver either before or after men's games as a sort of doubleheader of action.
 
Just a couple comments about the video.

1) Office of Jim Les - overlooks the Men's Court. Would there be times he could be in his office while the players are playing a little pick-up scrimmages during the off-season?

2) I musta missed the Office for Paula Buscher.

There are several more offices on that 2nd floor adjacent to the court. I suspect the women's staff, and assistant men's staff have nice offices there somewhere.
 
Nice! It would be nice if the men's team would be allowed to play a regular season game or two there each year just to get a taste of how the old field house used to be. I know there will be only 4500 seats, but it would still be nice just for a change of pace once in awhile.
 
If we played a regular season game in the new place, with only 4500 seats, we would have to bring in a team like we used to play in the 70's on a regular basis. Sorry, had enough that.
 
Did anyone else notice they knocked out Greek Row / Fredonia and replaced it with PARKING LOTS?!?!

I hope this isn't their plan.

Love the rec center though. A climbing wall? I dont think it will happen, but it is a good idea.

no a climbing wall really is coming...it'll span all 3 floors from the basement to the 2nd floor
 
The type of facility that will get us top notch recruits; also BU will only be playing exibition games as far as the mens program unless it is a cbi or nit game that carver is not available for which could happen in the future.
