New pre-game meeting spot - 'The Fieldhouse'

Hey - Just wanted to give props to the people who have opened up 'The Fieldhouse' at the former Gorman's location. All I can say is 'WOW'. That's the way it's supposed to be done! My only comment would be that there needs to be more Bradley memorabilia on the walls, as it is a 'Bradley' bar. Other than that, I look forward to meeting there before and after games, and also hope it turns into a road game viewing venue.

Don't know if they check this board or not but I think a great idea for them would be to televise the BYU game if possible. Since it is the closest place to campus, they might get a decent student turn out if they do find a way to televise it.

On that note though, does anybody know if the game will be televised at all. My suggestion would be irrelevant I suppose if it isn't televised in the first place, but I was trying to figure out where to watch the game at.

It will be on Mountain Network. The MWC television station, any sportsbar that has DirectTV should get it.

Thanks. I stand by my other statement then that it would be a good idea for them to show that game and to advertise that around campus. Just a thought though...

I agree, many a time I wanted to go to gormans to watch the game but the didn't have it. Is the TV situation better there than gormans?

Ummm...yeah. They have TV's now that aren't 10 years old, and they actually paid their DirecTV bill. They have HD TV's everywhere...better setup than BWW IMO...

Why couldn't this have happened before I went to BU, not after I left... Grrr... not fair. Gormans took an inordinate amount of my money, especially over the summer, I can only imagine now... Although rumor has it The Fieldhouse doesn't have free pizza tuesdays... BIG mistake IMO.

I hear ya...

I think they'll figure out what people want. Pizza Tuesdays, Dollar Draft Thursdays, BU memorabilia all over...consider this the 'suggestion box'.... :)

I like BU memorabilia as much as anyone, have a room dedicated to it as a matter of fact, but Gormans didn't display theirs well if you ask me, cooler stuff, better displayed is the way to go.

If they're going to name the place after BU's legendary arena, then they had better decorate the place accordingly. I'll cut them some slack since they just opened, but there needs to be a BU feel to it. Right now there isn't...which is my only gripe. It's easily corrected!

Anyone know what happened to all the BU memorabilia Gormans had?

A few friends of mine are the owners of the new place. I will send them a message to check out your suggestions. I am sure they will appreciate the input.

Feel free to mention that they decided not to hire one of the people that had a suggestion...
