O&B74 and cast my ballot for Mr Wilson.![]()
Besides that for some reason I picture him kind of
like Cellus Sommerville.. Wing 81

PS> I can certainly see Coley as a great addition and worth a scholarship and Wilson as a last ditch effort but beyond that if we don't get Knapp or Coley I'd only offer a Walk On to Wilson or Gilbert and hold that last scholarship for a possible transfer or wait til the fall and get a high schooler! Juco kids can really help a program but HS kids are the fundamental foundation of most strong programs. I'd like to think that BU has a vision of moving away from the Juco path or possibly reserving the 11-12 spots for them!

Theron Wilson's picture, it's going to take a lot of work in
the weightroom to fill up Cellus's shadowbox. LOL But his
Juco numbers are in fact Cellus-ian. Is that a word in the
dictionary? ?? Ahh,, yes there it is  right before

I think we have a stable full of young players with talent and character to fill out the regulation 200 minutes! If we can get a Coley or Knapp do it otherwise - save the scholarship for another day!
Well put and right on! The scholarships for 2007-08 will most likely be 8 four-year players and 4-5 juco's. The following season will probably look very similar. Last season was 8 four-year players and 4 juco's. I don't have the numbers for the Sweet 16 season, but we are at the very least in the middle of three very similar seasons when it comes to the ratio of four-year players to juco players. Considering the recruiting job JL and staff has done as well as getting the guys to play together....I don't see any problem with this.amckillip said:daPAWW1 said:If you want to watch a team full of average JUCOs get season tickets to ICC! Average Jucos? You think Thats what were getting? You must be nuts, One of the JUCOS we're getting, at one point, was the 18th ranked recruit in the nation, Coley is the #3 JUCO Player in the Nation, DC is one of the best JUCO centers in the Nation... come one now.
Just so ya know Theron Wilson, Coley and Knapp are definitely more recruited than Matt Salley, Lawrence Wright, Will Franklin, or Zach Andrews ever were and look how they turned out. Like I said for a school of our budget to be competitive we need to look to JUCOs. Your right to watch average JUCO Ball go to ICC(who by the way were #1 in the region for a majority of the year), but BU Basketball is a mix of 4-year and JUCO players integrated into a good system, identified and recruited by a good coach for what they can bring to the team, not the stigma of where they came from.
