Next game: Bradley vs. North Central College, Sunday, Dec. 14, 1:00 pm

Weak opponent, cold weather, wrong venue, blah blah blah. It’s Bradley Basketball. We show up and support our team better than anyone in the Valley. Get your butts to the game.
I was disappointed with the small crowd.
BU and the city did a great job with parking and the fans that were there.
Really easy getting in and out of the deck as well as the sidewalks being very clean.
My wife and I were impressed.
Great job Bradley

I get some frustration but I am sure the athletic department is looking for additional $ to keep us financially competitive in the new world of intercollegiate athletics. I think everyone on the board wants Bradley to be at the top of the Valley and like it or not it takes money to do so and I am sure they are looking for as many sources as possible to help that. This may or may not be one of those ways but I am sure they are looking for options.
As much as I love you, HB, I'm going to have to disagree here. I'm a season ticket holder for a very long time and this game was not covered under the ever-increasing costs for those. Fine, I'm ok with that, but $20 for a DIII game and another $10 to park in the deck on a frigid and snowy day (when to my recollection, they've never charged to park there in the past) is a bit much. If attendance, and even profit is their goal, this is not going to do it. There's a point of diminishing returns after a certain point, and based on the attendance, I think they've already reached it.

To play devil's advocate to myself, it may have had something to do with the Bears game being on, too. That being said, I'm not sure if I'll pay $20 for an exhibition game again (but I probably will, just because).

Well...onto Valley play! The real season starts Thursday! The games prior were just a warm-up. Hope we're in contention from start to finish! That's all we can ask - the team fortunately has started to gel a bit more, but not close to the place we need to be.

As an added distraction Bradley is charging $10 to park in their deck or you can park for free if you are willing to walk a long distance in freezing weather. They continue to do more things to want fans to not attend their games. I have zero problem in paying yet this is the first time they have charged people to pay in their parking deck. This whole thing is a bad look.
It's not Bradley's deck, that is owned by the city

BBNut, I think you've got it confused. The Main Street parking deck adjacent to the Renaissance Coliseum is on Bradley-owned property, was built by Bradley, and is owned and operated by Bradley, not the city. I don't know why there was a charge, when for many past events there wasn't.

Im a bit worried about BUs performance. About the only thing they did well was cause turnovers/create steals. They shooting was abysmal. 28% from 3 and 59% from the line. They did outrebound, but not by much. They've got to improve their FT pct. One final thing, it drives me crazy when a player launches a 3 pointer and then just admires it as they fade toward the other basket. If he is in the center around the top of the key, thats OK, he is the first one back on defense, but when it's a corner shot he should be trying reposition and even try to box out and go for the rebound.

You are correct. It was my mistake. I was certain that I read the reason they were charging was it was a city owned lot.
In light of that I am disappointed that the university charged for parking.

Can't blame the poor shooting on not playing where we practice for that one!

For the record, Bradley does not practice in the Renaissance Coliseum arena. They practice in their own practice gym adjacent to the arena.

Midway through the 2nd half, Bradley was just 3-19 from three (15.8%).
They shot a little better in the final 11 minutes (5-10) to finish 8-29 (27.6%).

27.6% is not the worst they have shot from three this year. Here are the 3-point percentages for this season, so far.
The North Central game was only the 5th worst shooting game this season-
UT-Martin- 15.0% (3-20)
Washington St.- 23.3% (7-30)
San Francisco- 23.5% (8-34)
St. Bonaventure- 27.3% (6-22)
North Central- 27.6% (8-29)

Northern ILL.- 37.5% (9-24)
Central Mich.- 38.5%, (10-26)
UC-San Diego- 42.4% (14-33)
Liberty Univ.- 44.4% (8-18)
Princeton Univ.- 46.7% (14-30)
UMass-Lowell- 50.0% (10-20)
