Bradley's next game is next Sunday, No. 22 against the Wofford Terriers, from Spartanburg, S.C..
They are 0-1 after a tough loss at Pittsburgh on Friday, 63-60. They play at Georgia on Tuesday night (11/17), then play at home against Lees McRae College (Division II) on Thursday (11/19). In the game at Pitt, they lead most of the game. They had a 31-24 halftime lead, and lead by 10 points with 10 minutes to go. Pitt, who made it to the Elite Eight last year, pulled ahead in the final minutes.
Wofford returned all 5 starters from last year's team. They were 16-14 last year and 12-8 in the Southern Conference. It was the first winning season in Head Coach Mike Young's 7 seasons at Wofford.
They are lead by 6'6" junior forward Noah Dahlman from Braham, Minnesota. He was their leading scorer against Pitt with 20 points and their leading rebounder with 7. He averaged 17.8 ppg and 6.4 rpg last season. Brad Loesing, a 6' sophomore guard from Cincinnati, scored 13 points against Pitt and was 3-3 from three. He averaged 5.3 ppg last season. Their other 3 starters were Cameron Rundles, a junior transfer from Montana. He is a 6'1" guard originally from Minneapolis (BU and ISU looked at him in HS). He scored just 3 points at Pitt. Junior Salters, is a 6'1" junior guard from Spartanburg, S.C. and one of only 3 players on their roster from South Carolina. He is a sharpshooter and averaged 15 ppg last season. He scored 8 points at Pitt, but was just 2-12 shooting, and just 2-8 from three. And Corey Godzinski, a 6'8" senior from Clermont, FL. He scored just 3 points at Pitt, and averaged 7 ppg last year.

I pose a question here....

I believe that both Warren and Roberts have solidified their spots as starters, and even though he hasn't played outstanding, Will should start at the 5.

So that for me leaves Maniscalco and McCain.

Add to that mix that DSE had an outstanding home opener and should have his minutes increase AND possibly get a look at a start.

Assuming Taylor Brown reclaims a starting spot for the Wofford game, who takes a seat on the bench?

I probably agree, I would just want to make sure that it's not 'too much, too soon' for DSE. While he very well may be able to handle starting PG duties, I would prefer to take the conservative route and ease him into things. Most freshmen are up and down, and I would hate to anoint him the starter, have him have a bad game or two, and have his confidence destroyed. I would say keep easing him into things, and ride him when he's hot. If he keeps playing the way he's played so far, I think everything will take care of itself.

Yeah agree with the thoughts on keeping DSE out of the starting lineup (as long as EM and SM practice hard) for the time being. Let him take the job over several games, if he will indeed take it.

My lineup for Wofford is:

1 - EM/SM (Leaning towards SM at this point)
2 - AW
3 - CR
4 - TB
5 - WE

Big minutes for DSE, other half of EM/SM, and AT. Would like to limit number of minutes that we have both EM and SM on the floor at the same time.

Also, anyone have any idea how to pronounce Wofford? I had thought "Wah-ford" until I heard Snell say something like "Whoah-ford" last night.

Would hope to see AT & WE on the floor occassionally if there is an opportunity. Particularly if TB doesn't completely solve the RB puzzle for BU

I doubt JL starts either Brown OR DSE......

I still say r/s Milos...if he isn't going to play when TB is out when will he ?

Since Milos played 2 min in last nights game he cannot redshirt now without an injury this year, and I don't think anyone wants that.

SLB, it was a Jim Les imposed suspension. Though it may have been influenced by other people and past circumstances, the suspension came entirely from the coach.

How has WE's shot been? I havent been able to see the games.
I know he struggled last year, any improvements?
or has he just been playing down low?

Will hasn"t gotten enough touches to tell how good his shot is, he did miss a layup against BYU that I and the rest of the fans that were watching with me thought he should have just dunked the ball, he has yet to use the spin move that he was successful at last season but the same one he tore his acl on.

I am excited to see the team in action this Sunday against Wofford. I will have the best view of the action I have ever had, since my dad scored VHB's seats to the game for us. Hope TB shows us what he is capable of doing.

Tonight I'll be doing some "advanced scouting" as I'm going to the Drake vs. Iowa St. game here at the Knapp Center. Go Bulldogs (unless they're playing Bradley)!!

I can't believe the Drake/Iowa State game is basically a pick'em according to Vegas. Iowa State beat Idaho State by 20 and Chicago State by 22. Drake lost at home by 6 to IUPUI.

Am I missing something? I believe Iowa State should be at least -7 going into this game.

I think we all are...

Then again, is Josh Young available to play yet?

That could make a big difference.

Really makes little sense to me, even with Josh Young I would expect Iowa State to be favored. I hope I am wrong and Drake can play good enough defense to pull this one out. I guess the figure a few points for home court, but then Drake was home when they lost to IUPUI.

from the Des Moines Register.....

Young is in limbo for tonight's game

Drake senior Josh Young, the team's leading scorer the past two seasons, is questionable for tonight's game because of a hip pointer he suffered in practice last week. Young sat out Saturday's game against IUPUI and Sunday's practice session.

"Any type of twisting movement, any type of movement at all that involves your torso can cause pain," Drake coach Mark Phelps said. "That's not an ideal situation for a basketball player."

Wofford looks to be a formidable foe, BU will have to shoot well from the perimeter and the foul line.

If Wofford has scouted BU in their first two games, my best guess is they will attack TB and try and get him in early foul trouble...When he is sitting out, my guess is they throw various zone defenses at BU, cut off the driving lanes, and challenge BU's guard heavy line up to beat them with outside shooting and try to control the boards...

Plan B would be for BU to try and establish some kind of inside game vs zone, or pick and roll in the post area...

Any other scenarios?
