It seems like whenever we play UNI Coleman does whatever he wants, I hope he's sick or somethin for this game otherwise it's gonna be another long 40 minutes for our big men.

First Valley Rematch
• Just five games into its Missouri Valley Conference schedule, Bradley will complete its regular-season series versus Northern Iowa when the Braves visit the Panthers Saturday night at McLeod Center.
• Bradley will be trying to snap a six-game losing streak, which includes a 59-46 home loss to UNI in the Valley opener Dec. 29 at Carver Arena.
• Although the Jan. 12 game will not fall on the earliest calendar date to complete a Valley season series (Wichita State, Jan. 11, 2006), the fifth league game of the year will mark the quickest completion of a Valley series by the Braves since sweeping Wichita State on Jan. 5 and Jan. 19, 2000.

Ruffin On The Mend
• Bradley senior point guard Daniel Ruffin suffered a strained abominal muscle in practice between games Dec. 4 versus Michigan State and Dec. 11 at Wright State.
• The nation’s active leader with 549 career assists and now one of two players in the country with more than 1,000 career points (1,042) and 500 assists -- Michigan State’s Drew Neitzel is the other -- Ruffin tried to play through the injury, but reaggravated it during the first half of Bradley’s 79-64 home loss to VCU Dec. 22.
• He underwent outpatient surgery to repair a sports hernia Dec. 28 in New Brunswick, N.J., and is out indefinitely.
• The injury to Ruffin marks the third time in the last five campaigns Bradley has lost its season scoring leader going into the new year: three-time All-MVC guard Phillip Gilbert suffered a broken foot Dec. 20, 2004 at Pepperdine and missed the next 10 games (1-9), while Jeremy Crouch went down with a sprained knee Dec. 30, 2006 versus Evansville and missed the next eight games (5-3).

About Bradley Basketball
• Bradley ranks 26th in NCAA Division I history with 1,502 all-time victories.
• Bradley is one of 14 teams to win at least 22 games and earn a postseason victory in each of the last two seasons: 22-11 in 2005-06 with two NCAA Tournament wins and 22-13 last year with a trip to the second round of the NIT.
• Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Jim Les (Bradley ‘86), Bradley has won at least 22 games in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1958-59 and 1959-60, as well as postseason games in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1994 (NIT 2-1) and 1995 (NIT 1-1).
• Following the graduation of four seniors -- Danny Adams, Zach Andrews, Will Franklin and J.J. Tauai -- who played prominent roles on Bradley’s two postseason squads, the Braves brought in nine newcomers for the 2007-08 season, including six who have seen action through the first 16 games.
• The 2007-08 Braves are led by their three senior tri-captains: guards Jeremy Crouch and Daniel Ruffin and post player Matt Salley.
• Utilizing a three-guard attack, the Braves rely heavily on 3-point shooting and defensive ball pressure.

Bradley-UNI Series
• Bradley owns a 24-12 lead in the all-time series versus UNI, but UNI owns a 9-7 series advantage at home.
• The series began with a 117-71 Bradley win Jan. 27, 1971 at Robertson Fieldhouse and the other 35 meetings have been contested as Missouri Valley Conference rivals.
• Although Bradley owns a decided advantage in the overall series ledger, the Panthers have won eight of the last 14 meetings dating back to their first-ever win in Peoria Dec. 28, 2001.
• Second-year UNI head coach Ben Jacobson owns a 3-1 record versus Bradley, winning each of his first three regular-season meetings in the series.

Bradley needs to win this game if they expect to have any chance at all to stay out of the play in game; it is time to step up and start winning some games ; all you need to do is put 2 good halves together .

Even when we WERE doing quite well we couldnt do that. Loyola, Vanderbilt, etc so I would say we dont even need to do that!

One sure way to keep Coleman from scoring a lot is to play more zone as he has no shooting range; coach Les said on his show wed. night that he does not favor a zone defense but that we may need to play it more in order to keep teams from getting easy shots; I believe you need to do whatever it takes to help your team win and from looking at most of the 3 point shooting stats there are not hardly any teams in the conference that shoot the 3 ball very well.

Anyone know of a free internet video feed? Still at home for break up in Aurora and comcast has the ISU-Evansville game on.
