Next game- Saturday night, Feb. 20, at 7:05 pm at the Carver Arena- BU vs. the Drexel Dragons in the BracketBuster game.
This is the first and only Saturday night game on the schedule this year!

There is no TV for this game.

Drexel is 15-13 overall, and 10-6 (5th place) in the CAA. They were beaten by VCU last night 73-54.-

Drexel's second-leading scorer, freshman Chris Fouch, missed their last 2 games with a foot injury, and there is a chance he won't play against Bradley.

Drexel's RPI this morning (2/27) is 103. Bradley's is 113.

Drexel fans' message board-

just to save time for anyone...
it's a pretty slow message board, only a few active posters, and they are pretty convinced they are going to win in Peoria, and help their RPI a bit...

but unfortunately - no team whose RPI is 100 is really gonna benefit much from any improvement...

plus a few of their guys musta thought that Peoria was like walking distance to Chicago, then when someone pointed out it wasn't they still thought if they go to Peoria, they should take an extra day and go to Chicago for "eats and drinks"..

I didn't bother to tell the guy it might be debatable......

Anyone know how ticket sales are for this game? Bringing a few folks to their first game and wondering whether I should buy now or can wait until Saturday afternoon.

Fouch's injury is a dislocated shoulder, not a foot injury. We were very positive and convinced we would beat you guys, that was before Fouch got hurt. Many still think we can win, but it will be a close sluggfest.

Yes our board is slow but will likely gain a little friday/thursday however some of our few posters are making the trip so they probably wont post a whole lot. But, as you can tell we have a small fan base.

Yea - me too. That road win at Northeastern is proof. The road loss at Deleware was just a fluke.

I got an idea - why don't the Dragons just stay home this weekend. Bradley should just forfeit.

Eh. Delaware is awful, but we always play them close regard of talent. That is what happens in a rivalry game, but I get it. I mentioned in the bb thread that we are shaky at best on the road. It is what it is.

are you sure?

Do you fans from Drexel know anything about Bradley? We have played two top twenty teams and won by as many as 19 points. We have the 24th winningnest record in the NCAA's, etc, etc, etc. Good luck on Saturday! You are going to need it!

With this Bradley edition? Maybe-Maybe not.

Yup and how much of that winningest record have to do with this year? I like your confidence, but this will be a very tight game. If either team blows the other out(15+) I would be very very surprised. For the record, do you know anything about Drexel basketball and our style we impose on opponents? Yes we are aware of we are dealing with, we are not an obnoxious group, and we do research, because we are always interested in different programs.

I'm thinking you won't have a problem finding a few lower bowl seats. With the interest level in this game being very low, I would guess maybe 6 to 8,000 at this one. East Coast team, non-conference game, both teams sucking.... I don't think you'll have a problem finding tickets.

Wow that is some sense you have Da Coach. Do you have ESPN?

Dan from Drexel. Are you are any other fans making the trip?

I think there are about a handful coming, I am not one of them however. Plus we have a much more important game on saturday in lacrosse with #3 UVA coming to town ;) The ones going are good guys and like discussing basketball. Now all you will have to do is get a crowd to be louder than Calvin Hicks, who will scream all game long and wont lose his voice. He is part of the team though, so he travels everywhere with them.

I have no idea what Bradley will do with this game. Show up and destroy everything, or do the other thing they do... Best part is, no correlation at home or on road. Anyway, to any Drexel fans making the trip... Welcome to P-town, hope you have a good time regardless of the result.

i really hope we are well represented with 9000+

I like thinking that we look like a great program to players who have never played in peoria.

Haha keep dreaming. We can hardly draw 9000 for a home conference game let alone a bracketbuster game that nobody really cares about because it honestly doesn't do anything for us win or lose

I think the attendance will be good. This is the first Saturday night game all year. Bradley was stuck with a bunch of 1:00, 2:00, and 4:00 games on weekends, which a lot of people don't like. Some people have to work during the day, even on weekends, others just can't get together with their friends to get to a game that early. It's a problem with the shared arena, and it's too bad. Bradley needs to insist the Civic Center people give them more Saturday night games in the future.

Agree 100%! I was very disappointed to see that there were no Saturday night games this year. They're always great opportunities, especially for those from out of town, to plan an overnight trip and to bring people to games who have never been to one before. I am bringing 4 people who have wanted to go (mostly because of me always talking about them) this Saturday. Hopefully we get a couple next year.

I hope our fans continue to support this team, even if it may be a rather meaningless game. However, no game should be approached like that.
At the very least, let's give JE and MK some more minutes. I like MK's enthusiasm and really gets into the games and encourages those on the floor even though he doesn't get to join them. I'm pulling for him to have a nice BU career!
