Next Game- SIU at Bradley Tuesday, 6:00 pm

Since 11,000 tickets have already been sold, and refunding them would be an insurmountable obstacle, I do not see any chance they will cancel this game, unless the teams are unable to get to the arena.

Just checking the snowfall- there is already 4" on the ground and blizzard conditions in Rockford. But in Peoria area, it has just started snowing, and there is no snow to the south of here. Probably, the Salukis are already in town, and the game wil go on.

I'm so excited about the national exposure. We REALLY need this game. SIU has broken our hearts over the past two years, this year's win over us, last year's tip in in the MVC Semi and in '06 when they beat us in the MVC championship. Let's pound the Salukis!! GO BRAVES!

The loss to siu in the tournament really left a bad taste in my mouth last year. The loss in Carbondale this season didn't help either. And its senior night. If I have to I will walk down from the Hilltop.

Being about 45 minutes NW of Peoria, haven't had much precipitation yet til just about now... and I am forecasted to get 2-3 more inches than Peoria.

I'm with you, I'll walk down if I have to. I wouldn't mind classes being cancelled however since I have an exam at 4:30 and I won't be able to get to the game until right before tip-off most likely.

Class being cancelled would be awesome and would allow us to start the party even earlier. With that said, we've already had one day of class cancelled this semester, so I'm not too optomistic. Either way, I'll be there and hopefully as many students as possible show up ready to be rowdy.

I would love it if classes were canceled. That way I could actually go to the game (I have a class until 7:15 normally). :)

Looks like the snow is going to end way before the original noon expectation. Snow will be done about 3am with about 3-4 inches in Peoria. However that wind will kick up and cause some travel difficulties for the non city dwellers. So much for possibility of school being cancelled LOL.

I got my sled ready to carry booze back from the liquor store. And it will do double duty comin down from the hilltop if it has to, although the trip back up will be much harder.. I plan to be there around 5:30 at the latest. Thank god last class is over at 1:15 (think I could start there? ;))

Seriously, I'm a little surprised we are favored in this game considering we are missing 2 of our 5 starters. I have confidence in the Braves at home but didn't think the Vegas oddsmakers would considering SIU's national recognition. My guess is the line will move to at least a Pick 'Em before game time. The injury list has Anthony Thompson out for the year with an ankle injury.. Did I miss something or are they wrong?

I checked the tv listing for the game on my cable box, and I think it's being broadcast in High-Def. Very surprising. But going to be cool for those of us who have to watch at home. :)

The game is also listed as being available on the internet on channelsurfing.net for those who don't have access to ESPN2.

www.channelsurfing.net scroll down a short way to the 7:00 EST games

They also have quite a selection from the 49th World Table Tennis Championships! :)

Oh my goodness. I woke up this morning and the sun still came up.:)

Thank goodness we actually waited for "mother nature" to finish her job before half the western world shut down because of the POSSIBILITY of 3-4 inches of snow!

Now....GAME ON!

Just for the record...here are the records.........

SIU is 16-12 overall, 10-6 in MVC play.
They are 12-2 at home, and 2-9 on the road, and 2-1 on neutral courts.
In Valley games they are 8-0 at home and 2-6 on the road, losing at Drake, ISU, InSU, MSU, UNI, and Creighton.

Bradley is 17-12 overall, 9-7 in MVC play.
BU is 10-5 at home, 6-6 on the road, 1-1 at neutral sites.
In Valley games BU is 5-3 at home (lost their first 3 home conf. games to UNI, WSU, and Drake,
and BU is 4-4 on the road in the Valley (won at UNI, WSU, Evansville, and Drake)

Bradley is a one-point favorite in this game and I say we just barely cover that!

70 - SIU
72 - Bradley

Yes....that should end any at-large hopes for the mighty Salukis!

I really don't see us scoring 72 points but I hope you're right. I think if we score 70 we win by double digits.

Wow, this is again surprising. Bradley is one of the top 5 consensus picks for the day with 65% of people picking Bradley to cover from 1-1.5 points. Drake is the top consensus pick overall, -1.5 at Missouri St with 75% of bets. I guess their W at Butler doesn't even put them as a favorite at Missouri St!! I'd take that in a heartbeat.

By the way.. I'll take Bradley and over 129.5, TCS nails two FTs to secure the W.
BU - 67
SIU - 64

We are 9-1 ATS in our last 10 games. Let's keep showing people what we got.
