On what has become known as Black Monday in the NFL, we usually hear of several head coaches fired.
This morning, the NY Jets just fired Head Coach Rex Ryan.
San Francisco 49ers and their head coach Jim Harbaugh have also mutually agreed to part ways.
There will likely be more coaches fired in the next few days. Bears fans have their fingers crossed.

Multiple NFL analysts are still reporting that Jim Harbaugh is being courted by several NFL teams, and that the Michigan deal is not yet finalized.

Former NFL Network, and ESPN NFL commentator Adam Schefter reports that although Michigan and their $8 million per year offer will likely win out, the Bears, Jets, and Raiders are still taking to him.

But most reports say the deal with Michigan is officially done.

One new coaching vacancy, though it's not from a firing-
Doug Marrone, the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, has opted out of his contract and is now a "free agent". He was just hired 1 year ago, but his contract included a rare "opt out" clause that was triggered by the recent sale of the team. The Bills had a respectable 9-7 record this past season, after 9 straight losing seasons. In fact, they had only 1 winning season (9-7 in 2004) since 1999, which was the last time the Bills made the playoffs.

So likely he has heard that other teams may have some interest in him, and that he could get a much better contract by opting out of the current one.
Maybe it could be this team, the Oakland Raiders, who are also interested in the Buffalo team president-

Funny that just a couple hours ago, there were reports that Marrone would likely not be opting out-

The current NFL Head Coaching job openings are:
Chicago Bears
NY Jets
Atlanta Falcons
Oakland Raiders (the Raiders do have an interim head coach Tony Sparano, but they appear to be headed toward hiring a new head coach)
SF 49ers
Buffalo Bills

The NY Jets will hire Todd Bowles, the former defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals. He was one of the names that surfaced in the Bears head coaching search.

John Fox, who just left the head coaching position of the Denver Broncos, is flying to Chicago to meet Wednesday with the Bears management for an interview for their open head coaching position. There is a good chance he will be hired.
