I am surprised no one has posted the NIT games from today. So here they are--

Missouri State beat Houston 60-59

Ahearn had only 7 points. MSU shot 47% and Miami shot 32%, and MSU and outrebounded Miami by 21, 45-24. But MSU had 24 turnovers (Miami credited with 17 steals) to let it get close. Attendance 5,833.

Creighton lost a close one to Miami 53-52

Dotzler didn't play, and Johnnie Mathies had a great game, but got little help as the rest of them shot poorly. Attendance was 10,018.

Creighton played most of the year without its top player and its starting point guard down the stretch, and still did well enough to do the Valley proud.
To almost win this game when you are playing with so much of your talent on the bench is still a strong testimony to how tough and strong the Valley is.
We are still proud of you Dana and Bluejays!!

Terrible end to this game. Not only was it a very questionable block call on Creighton, but then Mathies get's bumped going up for a 3 at the buzzer. Here are some video highlights:

Also, read that Missouri State was down two in the final seconds, and missed a shot, but Nathan Biyleu (I just butchered that spelling) got the rebound and put it in and got fouled to win the game for Missouri State with 2.3 seconds left. That's why you shoot the ball with like 5 seconds left, so you have a chance for a put-back.
