NIT Round 1 - Bradley 74 Loyola 62

They raised all the tickets to 20$ when I called today the box office! It's OK still a good deal. The box office said the NCAA controls the pricing.

I’m sure you mean Arizona State, I wouldn’t blame Arizona for declining the NIT when they got such a good seed in the NCAA tourney.

Sorry but an A10 team has no business declining the NIT. It may have been a 1 bid league had Dayton won the tourney. And it’s not like the Bonnies have been a consistent basketball powerhouse…

Watching Indiana State news, announcers said the game against SMU will be a sellout! How many fans should Bradley expect against a solid Loyola Chicago team? Maybe alot of walk ups last minute?

I called the Bradley ticket office today and said I didn't want to purchase over the internet. So I'm calling tommorrow Tuesday and will buy 2 higher bowl tickets at only 10$ each. Last year for the Drake game, I payed 28 for upper bowl! So these ticket prices are fantastic!!! I also have a niece attending Bradley now and with her boyfriend, our group will have 4 people. My niece and boyfriend get to go for FREE as BU students! They even said I could park free in the student parking lot!!! I'm really excited for this game!!!! So fun to see our Braves in a very good tournament! I hope the BU students come out and cheer!!! I hope the Atmosphere at Carver will be as exciting as when we played Drake last year! My wife said that was the most exciting energetic atmosphere she ever experienced at a sporting event!

What is this student parking lot you speak of? I know they have shuttle buses, but I have never heard of a student parking lot. Just curious!

I'm curious, did all these teams get an invite or did they preemtively reject a bid? Kinda like when a coach turns down a new job he was never offered.

Seems St. John's, OU, and Pitt were the only ones that actually were offered bids and turned them down. The others just pulled themselves out of the running without being offered.

I highly doubt Indiana would have received a bid this year to the NIT, and they rejected one immediately as if people wouldn't realize this haha.

It's kind of like me saying I won't accept this year's People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive award. Which for the record I am not saying.

Great first half, bad second half but had just enough of a buffer. This team is something else, no lead is safe in either direction with them. In this game alone we saw how good we can be when we rebound and don’t have sloppy turnovers. Conversely, we saw what happens when those things aren’t done well. We definitely need another ball handler and a strong athletic post for next year no matter what happens on the rest of the roster.

Overall, nice to win a postseason game. What’s that the first one since the CIT all those years ago?

Got to clean up the offensive rebounds (16 by Loyola) and the 2nd chance points (19 by Loyola), and otherwise it was a solid game. Duke, Conner, Malevy, Hannah and Davis all had very good games. We need more out of the rest of the rotation, but I'll take a 12 point win over the A-10 champions.

Great win at home, first post season win at home since 2007 against Providence when I was in school (I don't count CIT). It was a tough game and the BU starters really stepped up and got the job done. We will need more from the bench to keep winning imo.

Being at the game, there was another goal tend that was not called, Loyola knocked it off the back board and the refs didn't call it, imo should have definitely been a goal tend. Additionally, in the second half Loyola was allowed to hack at the BU players non-strop. IMO there should have been around 8 more fouls on Loyola.
