you are right, it ends next Wednesday at midnight...but kids can still verbal after that...they just cannot sign an official LOI...
Remember..Taylor Brown verballed after the spring signing period and that turned out OK...
so even if we get a verbal after the end of the LOI period, I would expect the kid to keep his word and still come barring some ridiculous NCAA ruling on eligibility..

So are you saying that you do not think we will be hearing news that M.O. will be signing by next Wed?
I doubt if anyone knows when the NCAA clearinghouse will get their part done, except them.
MO cannot sign a LOI until he is cleared and BU cannot say a word until he signs. Unless anyone here has an inside view of the NCAA or MO then it is highly doubtful we'll hear anything until then.
Once again it seems like Bradley is one of the few teams that has trouble getting players cleared , it makes me sick to think of all the players that should not have been cleared but were because they were playing for Memphis or Kansas or Kentucky, I wish BU had a lawyer on staff that could take legal action in order to speed up the process.

What is starting to concern me is I have seen teammates of Mo's signing. I suppose if I knew what was actually going on it could be no big deal. However if we don't sign him I will be very concerned about the lack of inside defense and rebounding again.
I also have a bad feeling when players are late arriving to train with the team. The last Juco we had that I thought was going to be a big help, but went home for the summer instead never made it as a contributor. Rashad Austin.

I am unaware of this being the rule...
I can find a number of players who signed LOI's then were not cleared like Daniel West (to Tennessee) and Kenyon Smith (to ISU)..
so I don't think it is a rule violation, but I think the school would like to protect itself from the appearance of not doing their homework.
Plus the people who issue the Letter of Intent also say you can sign before being cleared...
"May I sign a National Letter of Intent before I am certified as eligible by the NCAA Eligibility Center?
Yes. You may sign a National Letter of Intent before you receive your final
certification determination from the NCAA Eligibility Center. When you sign a
National Letter of Intent you agree to submit the necessary information and
documents to the Eligibility Center. These documents do not have to be
received by the Eligibility Center before you to sign a National Letter of
Intent. If you are classified by the Eligibility Center as a qualifier, the National
Letter of Intent is considered valid. If you are classified as a nonqualifier
pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 14.3, your National Letter of Intent is rendered null
and void."

That is where I got my info on getting cleared but then again?

I would love to see the reference for this ...and here's why...
tons of foreign kids nowadays from Canadians to Enes Kanter from Turkey...show up in American and instantly sign LOI's...
some later, like Wichita State's Ehimen Orukpe - and there's also debate that Kanter also may not be cleared.... are NOT cleared by NCAA for initial eligibility, then go to juco, but many of them sign nonetheless, and I have never before heard of such a rule saying they have to be cleared academically first..
I can't say I know every rule, but the entirety of the NLI process is readily available on the National Letter of Intent web site and there's not the tiniest mention that foreign kids are any different than anyone else......

Wilkens signed his letter and has not graduated yet so he still needs to be cleared to play D1.

Looking into the old crystal ball, that was said about a certain someone around 20 months ago... waiting on some HS documents.
Never easy apparently.

Need to get someone from the Valley/Valley Schools in a position in the upper echelons of the NCAA Organization...
OR
The Valley needs to step up to the plate and publically call out the NCAA on behalf of their member schools. Can't get any worse than it currently is with the NCAA....

If the delay is due to not receiving certain HS documents, why would that be the NCAA's fault?

the usual HS documents (as was the case with Wilkins) are generally available ... but it has always been the insistence by the NCAA for further, minute, and almost impossible to produce documents that has uniquely always been the demands required of Bradley...
..the case of John Wilkins was one where they demanded to see obscure Belgian records from his freshman year and were unwilling to accept the French copies of those records...
I can assure you that if the info were all openly known, that it would be clear that Bradley has always been treated differently and via a different set of rules than other schools seem to be when it comes to issues like this.
The rulings from the NCAA smack of bias, pettiness, and vindictiveness...but you are free to decide as you wish...
