Official Iman Shumpert sighting post.

Awesome report Tornado, and thanks for PM ing it to me so quickly. I'm getting anxious for next year just reading it.

I do not know if it will be Inman.......but sooner or later JL and staff are going to land one or more of these 5 star recruits......it is going to happen!

Jim Mattson had a report on the 10 PM sports about Thursday being "a big day for Bradley basketball" as they were hosting Iman Shumpert for a visit. Did anyone else see it?
I can't remember ever seeing the local TV station report on a recruit visiting campus! Good job, Jim! How did he find out about the Shumpert visit? Does Jim Mattson keep up with BradleyFans?

If so, Hi, Jim!

There is nothing new from yesterday up on their website, but maybe they might post a story later.--

Wow, Jim Mattson has some fine words for Jim Les
"outside of Peoria area players like Shaun Livingston and Frank Williams showing up at Bradley games, can anyone remember the last time a recruit of this magnitude visited the Bradley campus--maybe Wayman Tisdale back in the Verscae era....kudos to Jim Les and his staff for again identifying talent earlier than most schools and working as hard as any staff in recruiting..."

I apt to think when he announces the final 3, it will be BU, UNC, and Clemson as a dark horse. Purnell has a lot going on at Clemson.

So he can be just another name in a long tradition of names and part of the mystique at UNC.

Help continue to restore Bradley's mystique.

Or help build towards something special at Clemson.

It would be an interesting mix of 3 options.

Look for clues in what he says in future reports based on that.

Came across a couple articles this morning:

"Let's Talk Sports" blog posted August 1 http://letustalksports.blogspot.com/2007/08/davis-drew.html:
and we're still recruiting tyler zeller and iman shumpert. the only caveat there is that there won't be room for both if both hansbrough and lawson stay in school. i don't know who i'd rather have. you can always get shooters like shumpert if you're the kind of top-notch program that Carolina is, plus, he'd be sitting behind ellington. however, carolina big men traditionally play right under the basket, and that isn't zeller's game. so i don't know.

Interview with Clint Jackson (CarolinaBlue recruiting analyst) posted August 1 http://sportsforsportsfans.blogspot.com/2007/08/interview-of-clint-jackson.html:
With Larry Drew and Ed Davis coming to North Carolina, who do you feel is the third player most needed for this class ? And if there is a 4th scholarship who should get it? Iman Shumpert is a great possibility for the last scholarship if there is one (most likely). I've only watched Shumpert in two games and I liked his jumper and bounce. He wasn't overly impressive when I watched him because he deferred a lot. He was submissive at times. But other guys who've watched a lot more of him than I have like him a lot, so he's probably deserving the elite tags that people are giving him. I, admittedly, need to watch him more. I'm also a big fan of Wes Witherspoon. You don't see many kids, who are 6-8 and can handle, pass and shoot like he does on the perimeter. Why he's not more highly rated...I haven't a clue. I thought he was superb.

Thanks shaunguth. Your blog trolling is much appreciated. Hopefully, Shumpert will realize that he matters much more to BU and their fans than he ever will to the fickle, spoiled Carolina Blue Nation
