I had a good feeling about this game as we are at full strength, BU beat Drake on their home floor and was without Warren, we are an ncaa team when we are at full strength as we proved tonight, nothing this team does really surprizes me as they can flat out score the basketball.

Some comments....

1) 2 early blocking fouls on BU that coulda gone either way.... but then the next play, BU gets called for a charge on another call that coulda gone either way. All I ask is to call it ALL the same way.

2) Bradley goes on a HUGE run to close the gap to 30-29, then a time-out... and as you watch the tv going to the break, the high-light they show is of Virginia making a layup from a long while back. Not any of the shots or plays that brought Bradley back.

3) SS's foul at the end of the 1st 1/2 stunk and then the tip in to tie on the missed ft. Geez!

4) 2 early slips on the floor in the 2nd half costed us. The first was on offense and we were running a play to get JC free... as DR was ready to let the pass go, JC slipped and DR tried to stop his pass and then traveled. Then next play on defense, Ruff slipped and left Va open for a made 3. I thought the Civic Center only had slippage problems.

5) Theron Wilson takes an absolute beating every game. He bangs with bigger plays all the time, whether for rebounds or when he tries to score - when he gets pounded... which then puts him at the FT line.

How good is Theron Wilson? The guy does it all.

Good minutes from Singh and Collins tonight too.

And we can't forget the huge game from Matt Salley. I really disliked him when this season started, but he's made me a fan.

Threads from the Virginia fan message boards--

Bradley has better coached talent than us--

Leito must go (it must kill them to get massacred by an MVC team!)--

Bradley has a pretty good program--

Here are the rest of them. Suddenly there is a lot of respect for Bradley--

HA! The "Leito must go" thread is hysterical! Of course whenever an ACC team loses a home game to a "lowly" Valley team, their fans will never let the coach hear the end of it! :D

Most of these same stories were also posted in Lexington, KY, Moline, IL and the Richmond metro area. And as usual, Peoria's media is sleeping at the bell, notta, zero, no stories posted yet 1.5 hours after the game is over with.

Actually, this was posted at 7:57, which wasn't very long after the game ended. Likely once it showed up on the AP wire.

Jeremy Crouch is such a smart basketball player, he's absolutely clutch, and he was fearless tonight despite coming out cold on the road.. I'm championing Matt Salley's game more and more, and David Collins had his best game as a Brave, in my opinion. He got some opportune blocks, scored a couple points by using his long reach, did some nice work on the glass... Singh was pretty solid in his minutes (using his fouls, throwing his body around).. Ruffin looked great too.. A few of this passes got me out of my seat. I'm always a Warren fan, and Theron's intangibles and versatility go way beyond the stat line.. I was having such an incredible time watching this team tonight. Impressive, and I thought Coach Les's strategies, obviously, paid great dividends. I don't think Virginia knew how to deal with that zone, at all, and it probably saved us enough energy to blow the game open in the second half.

Soooo ... you say they could've gone either way, but you have a problem with them because they were all called on BU?

I said I had a problem about calls not being consistent.

Period.

I don't care who is playing.

I am actually an "apologist" for the officials.

Well said....

During the 2nd half, there was a camera shot of JL with a graphic stating that he was 11-5 in his career against schools from BCS conferences.....make that 12-5!! :) ;)

Went to BWW and had a great time chanting BU. What a great team performance. Great ball movement, great penetration, good defense, great rebounding, great great passion and hustle. Very fun to watch. A big victory on the road. Congrats to the team and coaches.

I also had a great time at BWW. The place looked like a sea of red and was very loud and fired up. A great time was had by all. IMO this was BU's best all around game of the year. The guys played all out for 40 minutes. Congrats to JL and crew on a great victory on our first visit to an ACC arena.

Get your RED on and get out to BWW Monday night.... see you there!

Just got back from BWW in EP, watched the game with JD and wow what a game, one of the better of the year! Just a great effort by the team, great to get 1 more home game this year and a chance to extend the season!

GO BU !!!!!1

We got great games from TW, JC, and DR ... but I was also very impressed with Matt as well. He showed a lot of grit and determination on the boards.

That was a just a fantastic game to watch. Another big come back, and then when UVa exposed their throat, BU just kind of stomped on it. Great win, Braves!

Sorry, but I felt compelled to remove a few posts that were not about the great game tonight. Please lets keep this an enjoyable night. We are all BU fans and should be having a really happy time.

Now, I have to get back to working on a way to get to Tulsa Monday.
