One-and-done players

There's lots of talk and hype surrounding the players who jump to the NBA after just one year like John Wall will and like Derrick Rose, Greg Oden, Michael Beasley..

But here's a question....

How many one-and-done players have won an NCAA Championship?

Answer -- mouse over --

just two, and NONE in the past FIVE years......
Carmelo Anthony (2003) & North Carolina's Marvin Williams (2005)

The one and dones can carry a program to where they could not be otherwise but more time then not they are not the complete different maker.

Besides Oden only Carmelo had the man body and maturity to dominate a college game their freshman year at the top level of play.

I'm not sure most of them care that much about an NCAA championship. To them, the year of college is just a stepping stone to the NBA.

Now, from a recruiting standpoint, maybe you could argue that recruiting a lot of one-and-dones isn't the best strategy...
