One MVC game Monday, Dec. 12

UNI just lost on a last second shot by South Florida. Born who had 22 points against us only had 4 and that was in the last part of the game. UNI is now 3-7

Valley overall looks rough overall. This is a good thing as I think our league championship odds are greater today then most thought pre season. However whoeve wins the bid this year may be staring at 14 seed at best

Yeah, their fans are not happy. They are used to quality teams year in and year out. Home attendance is down (3,089/game), and they have already lost 3 home games. They are 3-7, and their only 3 wins are home wins over a weak Division III school and two 300+ RPI D1 schools (Wartburg, Northern Illinois (RPI 302, NET 307), and Evansville (RPI 317, NET 316).
I agree that they will be better when they get Nate Heise back, but I don't see that will be enough to lift them out of the bottom half of the MVC.
It looks like teams are starting to figure out how to neutralize Bowen Born. He was averaging an MVC-leading 22.4 ppg through their first 8 games, but in their last two home games, against weak teams with losing records (McNeese State- RPI 346 & USF- RPI 269), he has only scored 7 points and 4 points.
Their next 2 games are against better opponents with winning records, then they resume MVC play.

We should try to get St. Bonaventure on our schedule.
