Organizing Student Section & BU Chants

Yes. For shame.

Just thinking about that horrible word "Lesticles" is making me angry. And kind of sweaty. Not that pent up kind of anger...more of a easy going....low hanging type of rage.

And also I'm angry twice. Come on guys...class it up. The name "Lesticles" is totally a nutty idea. Completely nuts.
 
I think maybe what would be cool is for Bradley alumni to organize a cheering challenge against the current Bradley students. Get your most raucous alumni together to have their own creative chants vs. the students'. Or they can see who is going to be louder. Maybe having this challenge would draw more students out or something. Challenge their red pride or whatever. I think taking out a large ad in the Scout would be cool.

At the end of the game, we let the rest of the arena determine who was better through applause. The winner gets crowned the "the Bravest of Them All." or whatever weird school-related title we can create. The challenge resumes the next home game and so on.

So, we have two times as more chants and such plus two groups with their own school-related names (Red Pride vs. Lesticles?) and hopefully more noise at the arena.

There is no logo to match the Lesticles that I would wear on a shirt. And I am sure that Coach Les would be thrilled about having his name used like that.

I don't think the name has to. The Izzone @ Michigan State and others have coaches names, but that doesn't mean we have to.

Yeah, I thought about this too, or an native americanish cheer or something. However, I know the administration would not really like it, they have enough pressure on themselves anyway. In fact they confiscated a few of the students signs at the MVC tournament because they were directed at an individual person on the other team I believe.

If I recall correctly, at least one sign had to do with Tatum and a DUI.
 
If the name doesn't have to be involved with the coach, might I suggest the Tribe, the Reservation, or the Casino. :)

In all seriousness, back in the 80's the student section went by the name 'The Baseline Bums'. I don't know of any college that has a similar student section name, and you guys do sit on the baseline, so why not revive an old tradition (and one that shouldn't offend too many people)?

If the "Baseline Bums" is a reference to the students' posterior regions I am highly highly offended!!! Keep it clean!

HAHA :lol: The lesticles is priceless. How long do you think that name would last before the Administration tried to do something about it? I say 2 games. We should begin calling the student section this just so we can have a pick'em as to when the Administration will try to get it changed. Lesticles, wow. :lol:
 
Since so many thought Squirrels was a good nickname to adopt... how bout calling the student section the Squirrels Nest and have students dress up as squirrels and act all rabid.

The MVC student sections I can think of off the top of my head are:

BU: Red Pride
CU: Bird Cage
DU: Dog Pound
ISU: Red Alert
MSU: Barry's Brigade
SIU: Dawg Pound
UNI: Jake's Jungle
WSU: Shocker Maniacs

I dont think UE or InSU has a name for theirs. Just to clarify though, ISU's student section is not called the Bird Cage, its Red Alert. "The Bird Cage" is just the location in the arena where the student section is---just like at football games the name of the actual section is "The Zoo".

When Bob Bender was coaching at ISU (89-93) the student section was called "Bender's Baseline Bunch." The similar name could be coincidence but then again maybe they took a cue from you guys :lol:
