Gotta read this post from the Redbird forum...sounds like enough evidence to suspect Eldridge is gone.

Its based on him not showing up for an open practice....I think they are just nervous. I would think he would have announced by now don't you?

But the one comment about his photo taken down from where all the other current players have their photos hanging...?

"the pictures outside the men's basketball office have everyone from the 2006-2007 season EXCEPT Osiris Eldridge."

I recall the Hawk scare with Villinova....its NOT good. O is no Hawk but its still gotta be scary.

Weren't we real close to landing him (O)....how cool would a transfer to BU be in terms of heating up the somewhat dead rivalry

Not going to happen as he would have to sit for 2 years being a in-conference transfer.

Wow...didn't know that was a rule.

Creighton was his 2nd choice and that was very close, but BU wasn't in the picture until it was too late. I believe Miami, OH was about as close as BU was which was at best a distant 3rd.

Besides, Osiris isn't that good I thought? His numbers were inflated because he got heavy minutes on a bad team. right? :D

In any case with the transfer rule within the Valley, don't expect Osiris to pull a Curtis Stuckey anytime soon.

I don't Danny...just having a laugh. Thats why the " " was used. I hope O stays at ISU.

this isn't really an Osiris comment, but along the line of a player giving himself a nickname........

The new signee for Wichita State, Ramon Clemente, has given himself a nickname.
It is what he wants to be called, and he tells media people to use his nickname.
Even his cel phone answers with a greeting that first brags about being a juco All American, then asking people to call him by his self-appointed new name:

"Call me Captain America" it finishes before the beep."
http://www.kansas.com/240/story/50997.html

(ps--- Clemente was 3rd Team All American, with each of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams having 10 players.

)

(pps-- one nearby MVC team has a 1st team NJCAA juco All American from 2006, and yet they still played the Thursday play-in game.....and lost!)
