OT - Phx Suns Wipe Out Spurs

Phoenix Suns erase San Antonio Spurs from the playoffs, 4-0. Suns are a great team to watch, playing great team offense AND defense.

They don't focus on one offensive "star" to carry them (think Lakers/ Cavaliers/Magic)...but have 10 players who contribute, and on any given night, one or more can light it up and carry them. Great basketball! A throwback team!

With a healthy Robin Lopez C hopefully available, Steve "Rocky" Nash healed, Grant "Fossil" Hill F, tremendously talented Amare Stoudemire F, and athletic Jason Richardson G, and, a very productive back up five, they should give the Lakers a run for their money to get to the NBA Finals this year!

Book it! :D

Yes, on any given night, anyone but perhaps two (Jarron Collins and Lou Amundson) of their rotation of ten could lead them in scoring, although Barbosa has been inconsistent since returning from his injury. It is also key that Dragic has eaten up a lot of minutes that used to fall on Nash, thus keeping Nash fresh.

I do have concerns how the Suns will match up with the Lakers' bigs (Odom, Bynum, and Gasol), especially without a healthy Lopez. They may be able to overcome that by running on the Lakers, especially since they will have fresh legs from having a week off. I hope the Jazz at least extend the series so the Lakers aren't also just as fresh.

The Suns rely on making a lot of jumpers....why do I have the feeling they won't be able to throw it in the ocean against the Lakers?.....The Lakers will somehow luck out and keep cruising.

Along the lines of Bynum, Gasol and Odom the Lakers will be hard for the Suns to stop. They are playing extremely good basketball right now and the pick and role of Kobe and Gasol is almost to hard to stop without freeing someone up.

In the east Orlando is also playing some very good fundamental basketball on both sides of the court. The problem with Cleveland right now is that they do not have an identity, besides go to LeBron.

Orlando has lock down team D.
Lakers have will beat you in the blocks with our bigs when you concentrate on Kobe
Suns have we'll play you hard for the whole game throwing in fresh players
Celtics are we will push the ball forward and knock you down when you try to come inside

I've watched alot of the Suns since moving down here and I honestly I don't think they have a chance at beating any of the top eastern conference teams. This is a moot point because I think they have even less of a chance of beating the Lakers. No one of the team is a solid interior post defender, and no one will be able to stop Kobe. The Suns are the type of team I like to watch but I think its almost certain their run ends here.

Agree. I've seen many games over the past few Winter months and they are fun to watch, but have a bad habit of losing big leads. Don't think it will matter what kind of message they want to put on their jerseys, the Lakers should take this series.
