Thought the same thing. Almost worked out for them though as they almost had two steals, but could've fouled with about 10 secs left and didn't.

Was watching this game also. WSU rallied from a 10 point deficit with 5 minutes left but the knuckleheads didn't foul with 8 seconds left, what the hay they thinkin? Possibly could of been a 5 way tie for 4th at 3-4, now its a 4 way tie for 5th, GRRRRRRRR.

Wednesday is Judgement Day for BU. Win, and we look real good to avoid Thursday and finish top half. Lose, and we lose all tiebreakers with SIU and make it very, very tough to avoid the play-in round. Can we exorcise 13 years of demons at the SIU Arena? It's one of two MVC venues JL has never won at. Enough is enough!

Winning the rest of our games at home and getting one more road win will get us 4th or 5th , winning at SIU would be huge but it is not a game that will determine if we play on thurs. night in St.Louis.
Hopefully this BU team plays with the same intensity the rest of the season as it did today and winning will take care of itself.

Look at the remaining schedules of all of the 3-4 teams. Losing Wednesday essentially puts us 2 games behind SIU, as we then lose all tiebreakers. With CU turning it around, and SIU holding a 2 game lead on us, well, things don't look real good. We'd be one of 3 teams vying for 1 spot to stay out of the play-in round.

Kevin Dillard with zero assists?
P'Allen Stinnett with zero assists?
Indiana State 3-16 from 3pt as a team?
Eglseder only 4 pts?

How painful is it to think that we were 1:44 away from being a game out of 2nd place?

Well, 2nd place now means nothing, as was the case last year when we started 5-0.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish. Let's see if we can finish strong and forget about the lost games we had.

I just finished watching the replay of this game on ESPN360. Definitely a big brain cramp by WSU at the end after Creighton did their best to blow a game again.

Having said that, no matter how much better we are playing we still have our work cut out for us over in Omaha. Despite the near meltdown at the end, Creighton showed they still rule at home, and my prior prediction of a Bradley sweep over Creighton probably was way too premature. We need the game of the year to beat them there.

Having said that though, we should beat them relatively easily here in Peoria.

2nd place would show significant progress for this regime. We haven't come close to 2nd place in nearly 10 years.

I meant being in 2nd place at this point in the season means nothing as the standings will shuffle around many times before the end of the year. But of course I would like to see us finish in 2nd place this year. That would be a huge improvement for our team, and the best finish by Les during his tenure so far.
