Pantagraph beat writer predicts the 2010-2011 Valley finish

Carmichael will be a good player but without Odiakosa it will not be as easy for him , Lawson is a great player but Singh did a good job on him and if we get the center we hope for another big body on him should be able to control him. This next season is very important to the Jim Les era and whether Bradley basketball is headed in the right direction as to winning championships, just hope our players are willing to make the needed sacrifices and put in the extra work it takes to accomplish this goal.

I'll take WE on Carmichael all day. Now that we may have a 5 so Will can step down a notch.

I'm just afraid without anyone who can shoot or anyone who can play defence or rebound it will be another long season. I don't know how we can expect to overcome these deficiencys. Probably playin game.

well i sense the worse of the worst attitude in your post!
without a new improved 5 I still think we finish 5th or better.

we have shooters and decent defense 1-4...are you referring to Illinois State? ;-)

I think this might be a huge reason Pratt was hired. But your right if Bradley does not address the poor defensive positioning and the poor fundamentials in rebounding it will be a difficult season.

I am not worried about our shooting/scoring.

But right now the most important things are finding somone anyone to play the 5 and finding someone who can bring the game/attitude to the floor that Roberts brought nightly.

C-Rob was pretty intense, but a few other guys have shown intensity and attitude last season - freshmen DSE & JE to name a couple.
I saw about 12 BU games, and I don't remember seeing DSE not give 100%when on the court. Add with that his poise, clutch shooting, and ability to board for a guard, he might be that "someone". Though A-Dub had a good returning season, I look for him to fine-tune many parts of his game that were lacking last year.
We DO have shooters - SM, AW, DSE, DD, & TB (good touch from outside), MK (when he plays).
I don't see us struggling to score in the early season like last year - too many weapons & lots of experience playing together.
