Patrick O'Bryant recalled to Golden State Warriors

Just when it looked like Patrick O'Bryant would spend the rest of the season at Bakersfield of the NBDL, the Golden State Warriors recalled him back to the team. He was on the bench for the Warriors' home game last night against Sacramento.
In 8 games with the Bakersfield Jam, he averaged 16.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks.

POB did get into Tuesday night's 140-132 win over Sacramento for just 1:13.

Did somebody get injured on Golden State or do you guys think he's done enough at the D-league level to get back on the team?

Unless he's going to get actual PT, I would think it'd be best for Patrick to continue playing with more minutes at the D-league, just to give scouts more looks at him.

Bakersfield is not making their playoffs and their last game is this Saturday.

BTW, Denver and Golden State are tied for the last playoff spot with 47 - 31 records. With just 4 games remaining in the regular season the Warriors host the Nuggets Thursday night. Could be for all the marbles.

POB's playing days with Golden State at least this year are about over. Denver won yesterday and owns the tiebreaker with Golden State. The Warriors have to win both their remaining games (at Phoenix tonight and home vs Seattle on Wednesday) and Denver must lose its remaining home game Wednesday vs Memphis.

Bosh and the coaches prefer for him to play facing the basket more as a 4, rather than a 5. I think Toronto could use a true post player, and POB will develop into a good one.

Not at center. I could see a player like POB nicely complementing Bosh.

That settles it and it works for me. That would make a Bulls' trip worthwhile. AP, speak up my man. Give the suits in Toronto the "inside stuff".

Toronto is one of the worst offensive rebounding teams in the league. AP averages more rebounds per game than any of the 3 centers on the team.

I think Atlanta is a better landing sport for him. They have no center unless they plan on using horford at C (which he could play in the East).

Charlotte could be a good spot since they refuse to spend money, and Okafor seems to like missing games.

Miami Heat??? Who know what that team will look like next year.

Knicks, Wizards, almost any team in the East but Toronto or Orlando.

The Warriors have one meaningless game left as their loss last night eliminated them from the playoffs. The box score did not even list Patrick as a DNP. PLEEEZE trade him.

Mike- there is good news for Patrick, even better than a trade, because in a few days, he will be an unrestricted free agent. I have no doubt he will get offers from several teams, and be able to pick the situation and contract that is best suited to him.

I knew that when I typed it, just too lazy to put down all his options. :) Regardless, there are many options for Patrick.

ESPN has been discussing how Whoa Nellie sat Baron Davis the entire 2nd half of last night's game. The talking heads concluded that one of them has to go as a result and it will probably be Nellie.

You canT blame him for his decision to leave early but does anyone think now that it really was a good one as he would have played and practiced a heck of a lot more which could have turned him into a better player had he stayed at BU.

Real fan, I've been saying that since the day he left, but all everyone has to say is look at the money he got for leaving. He wasn't ready. He knew it, IMO the coaches knew it and most BU fans knew it.
