PJ Star articles 3/25

Good articles.....I liked AW's South Padre reference. Exactly what I stated in another thread. The crowd was a weeeeee bit smaller in THAT comeback (against Vandy) but the deficit was larger and the ref was against us:).

Speaking of refs....wow. What was that call on Theron when he was trapped, split two defenders and got a charge. Then, on the other end, the offensive guy stuck a hand in JC or DR and we got the foul again. YIKES.

My ears are still ringing....man that was loud.

Speaking of PJS articles, there is a pull out section in today's PJS.

My major complaint with the pull out section is the "Unclaimed Fetus" article that is briefly mentioned on page E5. Why in the world does this have to be included in a section remembering Robertson Fieldhouse? The montage includes Dick Vitale, Oscar Robertson, Matt Roth, and the unlaimed fetus, but not included were Larry Bird, Gene Melchiorre, Paul Unruh, Roger Phegley, Mitchell Anderson etc etc etc... I was hoping for a better tribute, but then again this is what it is from the PJS.

I agree, great article especially by (gasp) KW. One of the most fun games I have ever been to, with one of the best crowds I have ever seen. Man I love it.

The loudest crowd in Carver I had ever heard was in the NIT versus Old Dominion when Deon Jackson simply took over a basketball game.

It was loud because the crowd was completely full of Bradley Baseketball fans, not people who need to be seen by other who need to be seen.

The crowd last night was very impressive on the radio, all of you who were there should feel great about being a huge reason we erased a 14 point lead in 4 minutes.

Great job to the True BU fans.

Let's not rip too much on people who go to the games 'just to be seen'. They might not be the rabid, live-and-die with every possession fans like some of us, but they are still spending their money and supporting the program. We need them. Fan bases need all types of fans, and while it would be great to have more die-hards, getting the casual fan is almost just as important.

I almost wonder if the fact that the arena was a little emptier almost helped the place seem louder. With more concrete and less warm bodies for sound to bounce off of, I can see how the empties in the endzones and top of the arena could have almost served as an amplifier for those of us who were up and yelling.

I was a student manager at the FH when that baby was found. A memory I would like to forget!

I was at that game . . . and BU overcame a second-half FOURTEEN POINT deficit.
