PJS 11-13

Does it bother anyone else that Dave Reynolds consistently uses the word "trey" like it's a real word?

I don't mind using it once in a while as slang, but it kills me when he uses it in game stories that are supposed to be objective, without editorialization.

Then again, I'm often known to take "principled stances against meaningless issues."

HB-- I hear you.
A few years back when one PJS writer used the word "principled", he never gave an explanation.
So even if you don't bother to give any explanation, you are allowed to question....

You recall the Phil Theobald rant that
"Coach Les had surrounded himself with people who preferred to take the expedient route rather than the principled one..."
To this day, I still have no idea who or what he was trying to slam.

Headless,
I think it is a real word.

I'd write more in depth; but I only have trey hours to get my work done before quitting time.

Thats one I always wondered about also. If you called him out on it now or brought it up you would get chastized in some circles but it irks me when someone can make allegations and yet never be held to the fire for it.

Its the point I lost ALL respect for PT.

Hey dog...........any chance that 1 of the 12 recruits on hand for the home opener with depaul was your guy.............the Kansas Kid? :-o

:) The trey verbage bothers me also. I agree that in an obscure way its use is ok, but to always refer to a 3 pointer as a trey
( in print) almost lessens DR's credibilty...IMO :)

Theobald never was a Bradley supporter. He was more of an ISU fan. I'm not too sure about Wessler either. He wasn't too happy when BU hired Jim Les and I don't think he ever got over it.
