I thought DR's story was spot on. Instead of telling his returning players about all the talent BU should have next year and they will take the Valley, he threw down the gauntlet with them letting them know they have to get better before next season and get with the program. Note this is a BU team that didn't react well to allocades they got this past season after big wins....letdowns followed. Same with big leads, BU gets careless, goes show time with their offense/defense losing momentum, composure, and leads they should have closed out.
I am glad JL changed his approach with his players letting them know despite the talented individuals they have, they have a ways to go to compete with the UNI's, WSU's, Creighton's and ISU's of the Valley. None of these teams are standing still and they will also improve over the off season.
I really hope AT gets it this off season. He showed so much promise and potential when he played in the Red White game as a Freshman. Thought he would go on and tear up the Valley. It's not too late, but his clock is ticking.
AT, from the immortal Ty Webb: "I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball"
Be the ball next year AT, be the ball!
