PJS on Braves options for post-season...

You have to wonder with the money if the Braves would pass on the CBI with the guarantee of $60,000 and go for half in the College Insider.com tourney? I love the Braves but do not see anyway they make the NIT!

I love the Braves too... but the NIT is so far out of the question this year.

But let me just say... ISU and Creighton aren't gonna like being sent on the road in Round 1 of the NIT.

I like this blog KW wrote regarding the "eye test":

I think no matter what tournament we choose, we can go a long way in passing the eye test next year! :D

Great piece by Wessler, and I agree 100%. I think BU fans should expect contending for an MVC crown and an NCAA berth next year. Expecting anything less next year is lowering the overall bar for this program. If we're on the path of an NCAA every 2-4 years and NIT/CBI/CIT in between, I think most BU fans would take that. I am fine with that. That appears to be where we're heading...if we get back to the NCAA and establish that as our cycle. Next year we're at year 4 since the NCAA's. We'd have gone NCAA-NIT-CBI-CIT. It's time for another NCAA, and I don't think injuries are an excuse after what I saw from a very injured group this year. We're talented enough top to bottom to withstand injuries and take the next step. This isn't a put down, it's a compliment to the group we've assembled. They're talented enough. It's time to get it done, starting now in the CIT in getting a head start on next year...THE YEAR.
