Player Transfers

Now that the season is coming to an end for most teams, and soon even more coaches will be fired and replaced,
there is going to be a rush of D-I players, some likely prety talented players, leaving their present school and looking to transfer.
A bunch were just sent packing at USF...

Here's the beginnings of a list, and I will try to keep it updated as time goes on.........

Keegan Bell - Vanderbilt
Melquan Bolding - has decommitted from Louisville
Solomon Bozeman - South Florida
Justin Brock - Eastern Illinois
Larry Davis - Seton Hall
Adam Dobriansky - Monmouth (NJ)
Brandon Evans - East Carolina
Elliott Engelmann - Butler
John Fields - East Carolina
Malcolm Grant - Villanova
Ben Hansbrough - Mississippi State
Aaron Holmes - South Florida
Lester Hudaon - 25ppg scorer from Tenn-Martin leaving for NBA
Cory Johnson - Iowa State
Taylor King - Duke freshman**
Adam Leonard - Eastern Kentucky
Jaydee Luster - New Mexico State
Scott Martin - Purdue
Rashaun McLemore - Ball State
Jonathan Mitchell - Florida
Lasha Parghalava - South Florida - reopened recruitment
Roderick Pearson - Southeast Missouri State
Rico Pickett - Alabama
Christian Polk - Arizona State
Amu Saaka - South Florida
Justin Tubbs - Alabama
Deontay Twyman - Ball State
Jon VanHoose - Evansville

note on Taylor King...
King was a nationally heralded high schooler out of Los Angeles (Mater Dei),
and he made a verbal committment to UCLA while he was still an 8th grader.
As he blew up in high school, was named California Mr. Basketball, and got growing
national attention, Coach K got into the mix and won over King who reneged
on his UCLA verbal committment and then recommitted to Duke.
He is viewed as a 6-6 version of Kevin Love, capable of taking over a game,
and he even did that last November in a Duke win over Eastern Ky. scoring 27.

Both Derrick Caracter and Earl Clark, two of Louisville's best young players (soph) are leaving early and declaring for the draft.

Saw this kid play several times for Duke and when he was on he showed "Love-like" potential. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Gonzaga and become a star by his junior year.

Both Derrick Caracter and Earl Clark, two of Louisville's best young players (soph) are leaving early and declaring for the draft.

yeah...isn't that something...Clark has a better shot to have an impact in the NBA....I know Caracter did not start and I'm not sure Clark started either although he played quite a bit...maybe neither were going to classes anyway abd decided to go pro...Caracter played like 5 min against NC

Caracter is one of those kids who has been hyped for the NBA since he was a 7th grader, kinda like Sebastian Telfair and OJ Mayo.
Even more of these kids really never pan out, and I could list a few.
Cliff Clinkscales (now at DePaul) was one of them who had a major New York Newspaper story about him when he was in 7th grade and was claimed to be the best player in the nation....but something fell through.
Another kid who is going to DePaul is following the same path...Cully Payne, who as an 8th grader was all over the headlines as the best kid in the state and got a scholarship from DePaul.
Even some DePaul people now would like to rescind that early offer as Cully is falling out of even the Top 20 in the state.
Other local kids like Pierre Pierce, Najeeb Echols, DeAaron Williams, Jamarcus Ellis, Nate Minnoy, Brian Carlwell, Robert Eppinger, all failed to live up to the hype.

One of the starters for Miami (OH) is leaving the team and transferring.
Alex Moosmann, originally from Washington, MO, is a sophomore combo guard,
and he's looking to transfer closer to home, and there is some rumor that Rick Majerus is interested since he has a whole lot of open scholarships.
He would sit out a year them come in as an experienced junior.

I'd have to say IMO seeing most of the players play on the list that Grant, Bell, and Tubbs have the most talent and upside here...

Could we maybe grab one if we're lucky...? Doubtful, but any of those three players would intrigue me, especially moving down a notch from the BCS conferences

5-Star, Vernon Macklin leaves Georgetown lands at Florida
DeAndre Thomas, Eli Holman, plus Bassett and Ellis all leave Indiana, Jordan Crawford is contemplating leaving as well.

Cory Johnson has left Iowa State and end up at Valparaiso, Scott Martin leaves Purdue and ends up at Notre Dame.
