Players from the past

well, it's garage sale tim eof the year and guess what....

A past Bradley Men's Basketball player had some of his own personal team issued items at a garage sale.
Here's a photo of one of the items... (sorry it's reversed, but someone prob knows how to fix that)
Smart fans can prob guess roughly what time span it comes from because Glasser & Cross made a terrible deal with adidas which Dr. Reynolds was able
to re-work in 2018 then- BU switched to a deal with Under Armour. Thankfully it was not from this era.

(not going to mention which player)

How many remember former BU Brave Michael Rembert (2003-2005)?

He was just hired as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Yorkville Christian High School after two seasons as assistant at Lisle Benet Academy
Benet went 36-2 last year and 32-5 the year before.
They finished 2nd in Class 4A last year and in 2023 and won the State Championship in 2025. They've gone 131-16 over the past four seasons.
Congrats to Mike!
Michael was a good kid who was a 6'9" forward/center from Chicago St. Rita HS. He came to Bradley in 2003, recruited by Jim Les. But, after Patrick O'Bryant, Lawrence Wright, and Marcellus Sommerville were added to the BU roster the next season, Michael struggled to get playing time. So, after 2 seasons with the Braves, he transferred to SEMO, where he became a starter and put up good numbers.

Does anyone else remember the story about how Coach Les convinced Michael Rembert to commit to Bradley over his other finalist, SIU?
It had something to do with telling Michael, "why would you pick a Yugo when you can have a Ferrari?". :)
