1 Defense needs to get a lot better
2 poor substitution pattern continues
3 continue to start badly in the 2nd half
4 this has been the worse year as far as our fan enthusiasm has been since I started attending BU games in 1969, we have not been the great 6th man for our team this year.
5 the booing has got to stop even though I know how frustrated it has been to lose games that we should have won but you just don"t boo your own team or coach, remember that they want to win just as bad as we want them to.

Good points .I agree with all 5

Read my points in the thanks fans and shaunguth's production threads near the end of each...

I hit on #2 very well...and I agree with your post here, other than it seems like the booing may have just motivated the team, at least hearing from a couple guys in particular (WE, TB)

The offense seems very passive during the first 20 seconds of a possession when BU has a lead. They don't attack at all like they did to get the lead. It then puts pressure on them to find a good shot in the final 15 seconds and some possessions are given away. I understand not wanting to come down and make one pass and a shot, but they seem to take it too far.

Bradley doesn't seem to have a guy other than AW that wants to knock down a 12 or 15 foot shot off the dribble against a zone. They would beat the outside defender off the dribble in the zone and then look like they didn't know what to do.

With the exception of Singh as first off the bench, I thought Les's rotation last night was his best of the season. I would still like to see more minutes for AT, but EM spelled SM nicely and Estman and DSE were used well too. This has been a complaint of mine nearly every game, but not last night.

I didn't feel that proper rotations were used in the 2nd half again...

The idea is to rest guys properly in the 1st half and at officials TO's so that they can have the best in down the stretch of the game...

I felt like playing Eastman-McCain-Singh at once didn't give us a great chance to hold a lead.

Also, remember, our big is always the first off the bench and always sometime in between 17:00-15:00 pm the clock...thats always scripted by JL regardless of how well Will is doing.

I thought Singh gave us some good mins. in the first half when Will didn't look like he new he was playing BB. Sam had 4 Of rebounds, 4 pts. and played good D. But most of all, Will got rested and that showed at the end of the game and in over time. I really like our 2 freshmen. I understood why subbing DSE for Will when we had the ball with 1 down near the end but to throw the ball in to DSE who just came off the bench "cold", been out for weeks, a freshman and not SM or AW  Anyway he made the second one and went to OT and a win:D Also we must find another way to help bring the ball up under the press because they trapped Sammy in the same spot as SIU did at the end of the game with the same results, TO but missed the easy two this time:(:-x

I disagree on the 'fan enthusiasm' part. BU had a tremendous following out in Vegas, a large number of which were season ticket holders making the trek from Central Illinois. I think the home enthusiasm was first tempered by a pretty poor non-conference schedule (name-wise), poor scheduling date-wise (too much time in between games), and most importantly, dreadful performance on the home court. I would say perhaps enthusiasm has done its biggest nosedive in years, as we were at an all-time high after beating the Illini, and are nearing the lows of end of the Molinari era with 3 straight home losses in embarrassing fashion. Last night's crowd was announced at 8,618, but I think 6,500 was a more accurate number of people in the building. Sure, the weather wasn't ideal, but this is Central Illinois and it does snow from time to time. A product worth watching would have brought people out.

4 out of 5 is pretty good. ;)

I also disagree with the fan part.

Don't make every fan out to be "bad" or less enthusiastic.

The rest is probably true.

I actually liked giving it to DSE in that case. I think everyone in the stadium, including Indiana St., expected the ball to go to SM since he is one of our best free throw shooters but by giving it to DSE, it caught them a bit off guard. Then before they fouled DSE, you could see SM heading towards the other side of the court that was wide open. So if DSE didn't get fouled, he would've had SM wide open on the opposite side to avoid a double team and get fouled to go to the line.

Not talking about out of town games as the people that travel are the good fans, it is based on the home crowd this season and it has been the worst atmosphere I have ever witnessed at a BU game.

When I played sports and it came game time, I would look at the crowd, was glad to see them and was glad they cared enough to come out to see us play! Once the game started, as I was playing "me personally" I didn't know they were there, as my thoughts were on what I was doing or going to do. I think that is true for almost all players. If not there would be a lot lower free throw shooting % for most players/teams when they have to look at the basket while shooting, while hundreds of screaming, with object waving, fans behind the basket do their best to make you miss:!: I am not saying during time outs or being on the bench you can't hear the fans but if you are playing you should have your concentration on nothing but the game and not on if the old white hairs in Red in the stands are standing or not, or if your girlfriend is jumping up and down and your best friend is looking at her underwear:-o
Just go out, play to win, and leave it on on the court:!: Everything else will take care of itself:D
Come on Man:D

McCain and Singh needs to stay on the bench
I'm going to disagree with you on this one. McCain, even with his shortcomings on the offensive end of the floor, can really guard you and rebounds better then some of our bigs. He has really been a big help the last three games and I'm glad to see him making improvements. SS, I love him but wish he could give us more on both ends of the floor and on the boards. Liked what I saw again in the first half. Don't know why we play so bad in the 2nd halves. Need to correct this in a hurry. Next two games will be a challenge even if we play good for 40 minutes.
