Post-game: BU 68 InSU 56

I heard it was something minor, but no details. He hurt his foot near the end of the game and was limping.

I found it strange that Indiana State had 4 of their starters in the game until the buzzer, even though Coach Les pulled most of Bradley's starters with several minutes left when Bradley stretched out to it's biggest lead of 19 points. That resulted in a 12 point margin when it wouldn't have been that close.

Some things I noticed tonight.....

Jim Les made a concerted effort to stay off of the refs.

Dave Vroman and the band had a bad night.

Even the cheer coach was struggling to get people in the right place. If you haven't watched him, do it next game. I didn't know he actually told them what to do with hand signals and such. He was coaching one of his guys on the proper use of the shirt gun

No coupons from the blimp. Wah?

Music for the intro was way too soft. Turn it up or don't play it.

The little girl cheated on jump jack & jive, and the guy on the BWW shot must have been drunk.

Anthony Thompson did nothing to earn more minutes.

In other words, it was a clunky night for everyone.

This was a real hard game to watch. Other than Sam M flurry of baskets at the end of the half it seemed to me there absolutely no flow.

IndST passed so poorly it was hard for BU to make the steal..and yet Snell kept saying they played better this game...Other than a few possessions I thought they were terrible

The game just gave me a headache.....I don't know there didn't seem to be alot of positives other than we won which is good...

They had 13 tO's and 9 baskets in the first half...ugh

Even though DC was not that successful he was fighting for the ball. When he learns not to bring the ball down and turn into the double team he'll be what we need. He really went after the ball today. It was nice to see our guys look for the inside pass because it really opened up our shooting. Also it was also good to see EM take those open shots at the top of the key.

If we play like wedid today and clean up a bit of the sloppy play we could suprise a few people.

The refs were good today and they let the guys play for the most part!:D That is all I ask, win or lose. We must have had the A team today.

I am happy with a win, but I don't think this win was that easy. This is a team we should have handled easily from the get go. We struggled early on offense again and our fts still leave something to be desired.

I do like how we came out in the second and built on the lead. As I said earlier in the year, this team is young and there will be some growing pains. Hopefully we can figure out some of our problems and win a few games we aren't suppose to win!

A win is a win is a win.......

Go BU!!!!

I love the fact that we shot 57% FG for the game but once again left way way way to many IN. State players open for 3's and several offensive boards. In. State shot 30+ 3's, had that been a good 3 point shooting team, we would of been dead in the water from all the open looks. Also missed another 9 FT's for 55% on Free Throws. That's not going to get it done. It might of been contributed to lack of concentration due to this being easy competition but going to need to pick it up this next few games. Another must win on Wednesday and then 2 crucial possibly league deciding games after that.

Really not much to say on this one. We did nothing special. Nothing newsworthy. Just a nice simple stress-free win against a team we should beat. Sometimes the quietest nights are the most enjoyable of all.

Bradley got off to a slow start, could have been because they just beat Ind.St. fairly easy on the road , once again the team played better with Singh at center or with Brown and Wilson at the forward spots without a center, Collins had a bad night once again as he could not hold onto passes or rebounds, good win and were never really challenged in the last 15 minutes.

Actually we would have won by more points had they not missed the alley oop and dunk attempts near the end of the game. :D

In all seriousness though, we played well tonight. We did play to their tempo during the first half and struggled a bit, but played to our potential in the second half. Again we had a 40 minute effort and if we continue to put the effort in, I'm confident we can steal a couple of more road games before the end of the season.

Creighton is looking more winnable by the day! :D

Yea - right on. I like quiet nights. Just thought according to posters elsewhere - Bradley would lose so it would be a miserable night on this board. Instead - peace.

Hey, an easy win is the same as a tough win (except in the eyes of the selection committee). A team that intends on playing in the postseason has to win those "quiet" games as well.

Now it was a quiet game, but at least from what it sounded like on tv the crowd was quite into the game, especially in the first half and early portion of the second half. Glad to hear that place rocking as usual.

Just a couple of thoughts....

I thought E. McCain played very well tonight....maybe his best game of the year. He is starting to shoot a little more and he is definitely not playing like a freshman. I like his game.

Chris Roberts seems to be struggling just a bit lately. He hit a couple shots tonight and it seemed to get him going a little. We need a little more production from him the next few games.

I think DC is more active than he has been. He makes a difference on defense. Just his presence under the basket altered a few shots tonight from the syc's. He still has trouble grabbing the ball on rebounds and passes. I wish he would get real P***ED off some night and play with some intense passion...I don't think we will ever see that though.

I love Sammy coming off the bench...it seems to "fit". He gives us a lift when he comes in and seems to be shooting the ball better. Hope his foot is OK.

SS had a nice steal and breakaway DUNK . This might be the first time I have ever seen big Sam throw one down.

Theron and Dodie....just keep on doin' what your doin'. Pretty solid night for both of them.

Last...get well soon to DogsRus who is fighting the flu bug (and losing) He was not at the game tonight and he doesn't miss many...hopefully he will be in attendance and full voice Wed. night against the Shockers.
