Post Season Player Transfer Thread

Here are a couple of big transfers.

Indiana U. will lose freshman Xavier Keeling who has announced he will leave and transfer elsewhere.

Purdue will be losing sophomore Chris Lutz and freshman Jonathan Uchendu.

Uchendu has been discussed on this board before.

He apparently never did get any form of punishment or suspension despite being arrested at almost 4AM for public drunkeness at the age of 19.

Lutz is a good player.
In 2 years at Purdue he has started 1/2 the games he's played and hits a career 47.2% (58/123) on 3-pointers.
He'd have been a nice target for BU, but all the scholarships for 2007 that would be going to guards are tied up.

I think everyone saw that one coming. I mean come on. Same as Kevin Durant.

A couple really nice players are added to the transfer list:

Freshman Phil Nelson, 6-7 strong PF, is leaving Washington and looking to transfer. He started about 1/2 of Washington's games even with their powerful lineup.

Kevin Swinton, 6-7 225lb PF sophomore is leaving Wake Forest played in all 58 games that he had dressed for in his two years at Wake. His career FG% is 50% but he was getting only 10mpg.
Previously two other fine Wake players announced they are leaving,
Casey Crawford, 6-9, 235lb PF/C who averaged 21pts/12rebs per game in HS and
Sharmaine Dukes, 6-1 sophomore PG who averaged 24ppg 8.5apg, and 8rpg in HS.

(I wonder what's going on at Wake?)

This sounds like a case of players seeing where they are at in the pecking order and not being happy with their playing time. I'm seeing nothing scandalous in these transfer.

That said, Swinton would be a horse at a mid-major with his 6'7" 225 lb rebounding body. He sounds a little like a Matt Salley- type player, only stronger. I think he'll end up with a hometown mid-major -- either UNCG or NC A&T. I predict he'll end up at UNCG to fill the role of their honorable mention player Kyle Hines who is graduating. He is almost a clone and would excel at UNCG and in that conference.

I think Wilson Chandler is a talented player who will make an NBA roster someday. But this year will be the deepest draft in history because of the shift of high school players from last season into this year's draft because of the NBA's 19 year-old rule. Chandler will be lucky get drafted in the 2nd round. He is a step too slow, and not a good enough shooter to please the NBA scouts.
He would be better off to stay another year and go pro next year.

I agree....And hopefully this kid does not hire an agent.
