Bradley wins the "trap game".

Negative Nellies?

NELLIES!

That first half looked sluggish, enter Les for a halftime throw down and 2nd half is the result LOL. Probably could of ran up the score to 30 if they wanted to but really didn't put any effort into it the last 5 minutes of the game.

One thing I would like them to work on is the quick post layups and the 2 or 3 on 1 breakaways. Past few games they have missed several point blank shots and seem rather confused on the 2 and 3 on 1 breakaways.

ESPN Chicago says that Bradley "Stays Hot"
i would like to see that continue for a few more weeks

good win (2nd half that is)

Not many 3s by rest of team (excluding AW) according to box score. I didn't get to see the game, was that due to perimeter defense or by design?

not gonna lie it'd be nice to have a season not living and dying by the 3 :-P

The team was great in the 2nd half. Sam Singh was a big spark. He didn't score much, but he played very good defense on the big kid for NIU, and he screened and passed well on the offensive end to spark the offense. Sam also grabbed 5 big rebounds in his short time, too.

We have to figure a way out of these 1st half doldrums though.

Bradley just plain passed up a lot of 3's in the 2nd half. Used up a lot of the shot clock in the last 10 minutes and tried to work it for a 2 point jump shot. They could of unloaded on at least 10 more good look 3's if they wanted to.

DSE was really impressive in his minutes. If he can start hitting the 3 consistently, he could be a very good scorer.

Totally agree. I really hope he doesn't get down on himself after those misses because he has a knack for getting open and a great shot. He also showed again how good of a passer he is.

Some things I took from this game:
1. bad first half, but good second half.
2. It was a ROAD win which are always tough even with the crowd being more for Bradley.
3. I thought maybe SM should have shot more, but might not be putting up as many shots because of his ankle.
4. I thought TB should have gotten the ball more in the first half.
5. McCain needs to break out of this slump, he can be a big contributor if he gets his confidence back and starts playing better. He looked sloppy at times out there. I think he will eventually and have some big games before the year ends.
6. We beat NIU by 14 on the road and Illinois beat NIU by 19 at home not bad comparatively speaking considering we could have won by more. U of I made us look even better tonight with the big comeback!

Sounds like the next game will not be as easy as it looked at first so we better come ready again!

Just got home from Dekalb......Nice games by AW-CR and TB..but tonight the player with the most spark was DSE...driving to the hole, leading the team in boards.....very nice, his future looks nice! SS came in down low and seemed to calm things down, 41 Sean Kowal was starting to own the paint until SS came in and started to throw his weight around, we really need that presence down low......good to get the W' on the road!

A game that average teams find ways to lose, and GOOD teams find a way to win. We didn't just find a way to gut out a squeaker...we blew them out of the building in the 2nd half. Give a LOT of credit to the COACHES who were able to get a team to weather a 1st half lull and blow a team out in the 2nd half on their home court. Give equal credit to the PLAYERS for listening and responding and playing like the mature team we thought they were. Dodie is with us in spirit...we're exemplifying the type of character he brings to this program...this could be the beginning of something real, real good...

Good adjustments made by JL and staff for the 2nd half....NIU is a very poor shooting team....some of the shots they did make looked like absolute prayers that were answered....DSE gets better every game....Sammy looked like he was hurting a little on those bad ankles....CRob = MVC all defensive team....Big Sam was a big help .....TB and AW are going to very fun to watch for the next two years.

For those of you who followed DSE in high school, was he a very good shooter at WHS? His shot looks a little unorthadox but as long as it goes in who cares!

Go Braves!
