Postgame: BU 67 Drake 59

I believe we were somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-8 from the FT line in the final minute. Way to hold on for the win!

Good Win! 18-21 from the free-throw line. Good thing AW got hot, we couldn't hit anything at the start of the second half but he got it going. We're 1-0 with a couple quick games coming up, Go Braves!

Well, the only thing I can think of with Bradley's struggles was the 4 games in 3 weeks schedule. I noticed they really got in a groove the last 10 minutes of the game and really started making the free throws. Hopefully getting in a normal game every 2-3 days schedule will help them.

I would rather see Thompson relieve Egolf than Singh. Singh has offered barely anything when he has played. His stats in 95 game minutes is 2-8 shooting, 3-7 Free Throws, 17 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 4 blocks, 7 turnovers and 8 fouls. I don't understand why Thompson stopped receiving minutes all the sudden, he wasn't playing that bad.

Not sure what to expect against SIU Friday, if they play like the last 10 minutes, then it will be a decent win, but if it's like the first 30 minutes then it's a loss by 15+ points.

Good win on the road. Saw some progress, but a long way to go. Drake is a soft team ... like we are. We still have a looooooooong way to go on the boards, especially on offense. Our shots go up and everyone heads downcourt. Great when they're going in, but there are going to be a lot of nights when they're not. As Al Mcguire used to say, we need an aircraft carrier!

I didn't get a chance to listen to the game tonight, but I did keep up with the score throughout the game. It sounded like a hard fought game the whole way through before Bradley pulled away towards the end. This was a road game we HAD to win, so this was a great way to start the conference season. Let's see if we can hold serve at home against SIU before we go back on the road at WSU, who surprisingly lost by a fairly large margin against IL St!

Wasn't that one of the 3 things he said a team needed? If so - what were the other two? I can't recall.

Can't remember what the other two were. He had a colorful way of expressing himself though. During one telecast of a Marquette game, his play-by-play broadcast partner mentioned that Rick Majerus (his former assistant) had lost 50 pounds. McGuire's response: "That's like a chair blowing off the deck of the Queen Mary." I miss him.

Hard fought win, thought the officiating crew was bad , shot freethrows good because the right guys were at the line, Will is too good a shooter to be missing freethrows , needs to get his confidence back and start making them, A. Warren is capable of scoring 20 points each game as he can score from anywhere , main concern is we had several players play a lot of minutes which could hurt us in that we play 3 games in less then a week.
