Postgame BU 77 Drake 75- 2 OTs

That was a GREAT game. Was tuff to watch at times... we came back in the 2nd 1/2 and they went on to like an 11 pt lead.. wow! But then we came back.

How about the bucket in OT called off by TW with .3 secs left.

How about the Drake fan walking down to the almost behind the Bradley bench during FT's yelling "Who's got shooter?"

But that almost seemed in retaliation to the drumming incident on the band's mics when Drake had a really good ft shooter miss 2 of 3 (of a 3 shot foul).

Great game in a great atmosphere! Gutsy performance by the players with essentially a seven-man rotation. Personally, I'm very happy to know SS will be back next year.

Some one help me out here with inbound pass and the wave off of TW basket with .3 sec. in reg. time.

I watched it a couple times on the replay and from what I think I saw the pass went into the basket and the refs made a good call, if the pass would have been just a 1/2 foot longer - it would have been a great way to end the game. But anyway, it still was a great game that ended good:)

I guess TW was lying when he said he put it in the basket.

Ref said Bradley failed to inbounds the ball properly.

I don't know - maybe time to check the rulebook. That "pass" was very close to maybe going in on it's own. Maybe there is a rule stating you can't throw an inbounds pass into the hoop and have a player spike it in as it's likely gonna fall in anyway?

I don't know - Looked like TW "finished" it off to me. ;) Glad to see the Braves pull it out.

That's the way I'm understanding it as well. Apparently you cannot have an alley-oop on an out of bounds play. If you do, then it never really happened as no time comes off the clock.

I'm not calling TW anything other than a great player. I'm just stating what I think I saw - that the pass went into the basket, it was the second replay from a different angle and he might have helped it along when it was already in.

Thanks BU Rick. but where I sit, I swore TW put it in:!: Thanks

From what i could see... It either had to be an illegal inbound or a goaltending. You cannot redirect a ball that is essentially half in the rim. Not the call i wanted, but a good call nonetheless

Sam Singh can never be 'great'. He is far too limited physically to ever be a legitimate difference-maker on either end of the floor.
He can be a solid locker room guy that gives you 10-15 decent minutes a game...hopefully he isn't needed for anything more than that next year.

Wow,

I see it way different.

SS is smart, got lean, getting meaner, getting smarter, knows the system , and will have unparaleled confidence next year, he is a definate stabilizing factor. Becoming a real leader.

ER3, are you to tell me we can get somebody that can replace the above listed benefits off the D-1 scrap heap of recruiting?

Ah, 70's adult film mustache Drake fan.. He was a real choice character. Aside from that, my ears are ringing and I'm too tired to type anything else.

I have seen Dwight Howard end a game against the Spurs on an inbounds alley-oop with less than a second. But maybe NBA rules are different. Either way, I think it was the right call. That was a nice shot by EM! I think TW did touch it with the tip of his finger, but that didn't matter.

That Drake fan was a piece of work. I think he was from the large contingent of Bucky Cox family members. Other than that act, they were nice folk.

Thanks to the security guy who stopped him the 4th time he tried to do it and told him to "go back to your seat and sit down".

Alley-oop plays are OK, in fact they are the only kind of shot that would be good with 0.3 seconds left. But these refs ruled TW did not touch the ball. That's why they put the 0.3 seconds back on the clock. If TW had touched it, the clock would have started and the time would have expired.

Wish I could have watched since I had other commitments. I hope they put the game on-line soon!

Anyway, sounds like a memorable game. I was checking the scores on my cell phone and was aghast we were down by 9 pts at one time in the 1st and 2nd halves. Way to go Braves!

See y'all in St. Louis!

Exactly, and it looked to me and many others that he did in fact touch it. He even said so himself on the post-game radio show. The game should have been over at that point. How all the officials missed it, I don't know.

Lets just be glad that we won this and we didn't have video evidence that we should have...

Can you imagine the hysteria that would have occurred? We won. Let's just enjoy it -- we dont need the style-points-ending! :)
