Postgame- BU 88 ISU 67

Wow.....what a game.......the Braves looked like the better team tonight.....and at home that is what we expect! What a crowd...all-time Bu record and we should have the new all-time 3 pt record now with what I counted as 10? :?

OK....make that 11-26 on the 3's! :D Now did I here the PA announce a record # of students for the Arena.....over 1600? :-o

Porter should give me a scholarship. I hit more 3's then his starters. :)

What a win though, and an amazing crowd!

When are we having pizza?

Haha. That's just the capper on a great night. We really came out and took it to ISU. They had no answer for us anywhere. I feel bad for Porter he seems like a decent guy and if he keeps getting it handed to him by BU he's not gonna keep his job for much longer.

On the down side of the game......1 foul on isu with 11 mins left in the game? Come-on......that was just terrible tonight! Even with the refs.....the Braves took care of business tonight....Very Proud! :D

How about Daniel Ruffin's line-- only 9 shots, but had 16 points, 10 assists, 1 turnover, and 1 steal.
Will came up big again, 22 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 6-11 from 3, and ZERO turnovers!
Tauai- 12 points, 3 assists, 6 rebounds, and only 1 turnover.
Zach- 8-10 from the floor, 3-3 FTs, 19 points, and he didn't force any shots.
Matt had a team-leading 7 rebounds, and played excellent defense (as did everyone).

What more can be said? Games like that are priceless! What a blast!

Even BUBraves06 was dropping 3-pointers!

I'll take that ref crew over any other in the Valley. They let them play most of the time.

The technical foul on Jim was ridiculous. I don't know what was said, but he was not trying to show up the refs, he was just questioning what IMO was an obvious blown over-and-back call.
These refs need to realize they are there to officiate the game and not to be mind police to coaches.

I happen to have been watching a couple minutes before and it looked like he was warned. I also think he was way out of the box and that may have been part of it. Maybe he wanted one to get the team's attention? They were playing pretty flat at that point and ISU was making a little run. I still think it was a fairly well called game especially if you compare it to some of the games when the whistle is blowing every time down the floor.

Great crowd, especially the students.

All around balance. I THINK 5 were in double figures. I also THINK that JL's T was calculated. We had a big lead and wanted the refs to know what he was thinking. I assume it was a reference to ISU passing the ball out of bounds into the back court. JL probably said something to the effect 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Just guessing. Sam set one heck of a screen.

Did I hear correct? There were 1600+ students there? That is fantastic!

Not sure how it got counted...

But I did hear that tonight was the 1st time they counted the Band as part of the attendance. (I don't know if that went toward the students and overall)

I don't think Coach Les lost his cool.

He was chewing about something - got warned - then he mentioned something next time down and since it was a complaint and since he had been warned.... bleep - T.

End of story.

Thanks for the links. It was a lot of fun last night. I can't believe how positive the coverage in the newspaper has become. They can't seem to find anything negative to say.

All seem good at Bradley. This was predicted to be a down year by the "experts" but Bradley continues to exceed their record from last year's great team.

Congratulations coaches and players.

Ruffin was the Player of the Game, but like many games this season, it could have been any of several guys. I love the praise given to Ruff by Porter Moser:

Ruffin finished with 16 points and 10 assists, his first double-double of the season and second of his career.

"They were terrific making shots and Ruffin finds the open guy about every time," said ISU coach Porter Moser. "Ruffin is an all-league guard. He makes them go so much. He's the hardest player to game-plan against we've faced all year by far."
