I don't see any way TW does not make 1st team Valley this year! TW is really putting up a nice Sr. season! :D Nice to see SM slide in there with 17 pts with good outings by DC and CR!

PS......MS really has some nice shooters....3 or 4 guys who seem to drain every open shot!

Nice game by Theron, Sam, DC, and Chris.

Very similar to the Evansvillle game, the offense was cicking. No stretches where we were stuck on a number. Though the game was close for much of the game, it seemed BU was in control. MSU is just not athletic enough to stay with BU, and their guys were really tired out down the stretch.

.. FYI Snell said his "stuck on a number" line early in the 2nd when the lead was cut to 2?...

Yea... I felt we sat on 47 for a little while (mighta been 57, can't remember which one it was)... and then it was a 2 pt game. Something like around the 10 minute mark, maybe. And then (I think it was) SM hitting a three to get us going again.

Btw... did a Mo St player go out of bounds and then come back in-bounds without a whistle? Maybe I don't know/understand the rule(s)... But from the Rule Book it states in Rule 9, Section 4, Article 1....

"Section 4. Player Out of Bounds
Art. 1. A player who steps out of bounds under his/her own volition and then becomes the first player to touch the ball after returning to the playing court has committed a violation."

I coulda sworn there was one time a Mo St player touched the ball batting it lose on a pass... then he went outta bounds... then came back in and took control of the ball and went down the court.

The fans went nuts.

But it was cross-court for me and I am not positive he left the court.

there were alot of little chippy guys this past game. TW got manhandled at one point and they called it on him...very frustrating

alot of little calls in this game were missed...i think i remember what you're talking about Mob, and it didn't seem like he went out, just real close. But i may be thinking of something else

Hey - I just wanna say... that crew was a very good crew. We got some really good Refs for this one. Maybe the MVC should schedule games on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and then again on Friday to pull in some crews like tonight.

the crew did a very good job overall...very evenly called
but i specifically remember seeing TW get a forearm push to the chest and then get called for a foul.

Don't get me wrong...98% of the time, the officiating was great, but those 2% were very frustrating and kinda cheap fouls

There were some headscratchers, but a few each game don't bother me. What I liked about these guys, is that they actually allowed the game to be played.

Yeah, I saw MSU get away with some pushing and holding, but at the same time I'm sure we did the same. I thought the game was well-called as a whole.

Postgame article from the Springfield News-Leader.
The writer focuses on the fact MSU shot only 10 free throws for the game.

Speaking of fouls, here is one that didn't get called- a nice picture of Wade Knapp holding Sam Singh's jersey.

I sit on the sideline in question, and I thought he went out-of-bounds?

Any time Jim wants to start giving Taylor Brown some quality 2nd half minutes is fine with me. The kid was the spark in the 1st half that allowed us to build up a double-digit lead, and then is rewarded in the 2nd half with a DNP. Explain.

Beyond that, a solid effort in a game that was probably hard to get up for. As CB said on the post game show, the one's you are 'supposed' to win can sometimes be the hardest to get up for, and the hardest to coach. 2 in a row, let's keep the momentum going on Saturday.

I thought the refs were great. they missed some calls both ways, but they are human. Even NBA refs miss calls sometimes. If anything, I think we benefited from some calls.

A solid game by BU. Good to see some quality contributions by TB and DC. SS seems to have hit a wall recently; I hope he gets back to his early-valley season form.

One of the best developments for this team, in my opinion, has been our improved free-throw shooting. For a slashing, driving team, being able to make the freebies is absolutely critical.

I agree. You still have to win them. Good job by the Braves. Get another win and you guarantee a winning league record. Not where we want to be but its better than having a losing league record.

If Chris Roberts plays well Bradley is a lot better. He is just so up and down. Also, I've been on the Taylor Brown bandwagon all year. I'm not sure why he doesn't see more time. Things happen when he plays.
