Postgame Thread- Bradley 73 VCU 64

I think in games like this, it would be 2 MVC officials and 1 Colonial official.

I know I recognized Brad on the tv.

Let me just say I was getting confused when they mentioned Pellot-Rosa.

I thought they were saying Bela Lugosi... and I kept thinking, man... Bela Lugosi's Dead

I think that is a great example of how different things are and always have been called in the MVC. The officiating in the MVC is a joke. Every little touch is a foul, and the refs try to keep the foul counts even, so Bradley, which is nowhere near the most physical team in the Valley, gets a ton of those ticky-tack calls just to keep the foul numbers even.

It's not a coincidence that when they play out of conference, they suddenly don't foul nearly as much!

Those were MVC officials though...correct?

DRU, the officials were Brad Gaston, Darron M. George, and Kerry Campbell.

I KNOW I have seen Brad do a ton of Bradley games.

A google search for Kerry Campbell brings up the Mo St/BU game at Mo St. Darron George was there as well.

In a google search for Darron George, he comes up in MVC, Mtn West, New Mexico, New Mexico St and GEORGE MASON links right away (in the WSU at G Mason game).

I thought we played some of our best basketball last night. No one has really talked about how well Ruffin played. The announcers kept talking about how well he ran the offense and controlled the tempo. I could not agree more. It is amazing to see him at his worst and his best. When is at his best, we look pretty much unstopable. It was also great to see Crouch get back his mojo. Hopefully he can ride that into the tournament.

WOW......AM I HAPPY! What a game by the Braves......nice time to put a full game together on national TV and this really helps out for the Big Dance! Nice shooting JC and DR.........the Braves now own the All-Time Valley record for made 3's in a season with 11 made 3's tonight for a total of 299!

I thought that the record was for only in conference play, that UNI had set last season? do threes in a non con game count?

The record is for 3's in an entire season, and we now have the best record of any MVC team.
The D-I record of 407 isn't totally out of reach, as BU could play two more regular season games, 3 in the MVC tourney, and if we go as deep as last year in the NCAA (or God-forbid, the NIT) then we'd have 8 more games. If we average 13 3-pointers each in those 8 games, we'd run the total to over 400.

And big congrats to all you "Egyptian dogs" (sorry I just had to...)
for helping bail out the Valley yesterday!
