Bradley ranked as the top team in the MVC. Very surprising, considering the huge turnover and all the new players. ISU 4th is equally surprising.
Bradley's next opponent, St. Louis, is #65.

106-Bradley
108-Belmont

121-Illinois State

FWIW San Francisco is 84 and St Bonaventure is 122. SOS might be a challenge this year with few, if any resume games.

Another blogger who has his own complex analytic system for ranking teams, Evan Miya, places Bradley at #91 in the preseason rankings. That is tops in the MVC-

91- Bradley
96- Northern Iowa
101- Belmont
107- Illinois State
126- Murray State
144- Southern Illinois
151- Illinois-Chicago
179- Indiana State
182- Drake
229- Evansville
299- Valparaiso

Another preseason ranking that is quite different than most others...
Well-respected college basketball analyst and blogger, Rocco Miller, lists his top "Non-Power Conference teams" for 2025-26.
He lists Bradley as the #4 best non-Power Conference team in Division I, right behind #3 Northern Iowa, #2 UC-Irvine, and #1 Liberty.
That's pretty high praise for Bradley, especially considering they lost the huge majority of their team's production from last season.
The rankings for the MVC teams-
#3-UNI
#4-Bradley
#5-Belmont
#7-Illinois State
#14-Murray State
#23-Drake
#32-Southern Illinois

Based on that St. Louis game, we've got our work cut out for us if we're going to win the Valley. Our inside D was non-existent.
