Question: Bradley BBall Open Practice or Scrimmage?

Hey Folks,

I've been reading about "Midnight Madness" and all sorts of fan activities and public practices and scrimmages going on right now at other schools. Does Bradley have anything like this for our fans? If so....when and where?

Thanks for your input. I can't wait for basketball to start.

Coach Les prefers not to have Midnight Madness types of open practice like some schools do. He has said that he prefers to spend those first few days of real practice that the NCAA allows in private with the team since there are only about 2 weeks to get ready for the first exhibition game.

I really enjoyed the Midnight Madness BU had a few years ago. I think that a Midnight Madness event is one way to get the younger people involved, but it works alot better if it's held on-campus, and unfortunately right now, BU doesn't have a facility at its disposal.

Midnight Madness is something that would get the students hyped like it does at other schools, but w/ the fact that there really aren't many students and most of the fan base are gray hairs (sorry guys) it just doesn't seem like a great option because I don't see them packing the CC to do it...

Like the PP said, maybe once the new facility gets built on campus they can pack it to the ceiling.

I also could see a midnight practice once the new facility is done and the team does not have so many newcomers.
