Question for other Dallas, TX posters / lurkers

Mr. Tornado is right. I'm in Austin. Not sure where to catch the game, though. What channel/network/media outlet is the game broadcast? I think I remember FMW

Id drive up to DFW if I wasnt heading up to STL tomorrow.

The game on Friday is on Fox Midwest, of course last year I went to the Fox Sports Grill here in Houston and had to litterally beg them in the middle of the day to turn the game on, they said they didnt get the channel. Seriously some "sports" bars do not get it at all.

They turned the game on and it ended up about 30 sat and watched the entire game.

I bet a Buffalo wild wings up in Austin would show the game.

Buffalo Wild Wings no longer exists in Austin. It is now called Big Daddy's Grill (or something of that effect). It has a similar menu. The owners used to belong to the franchise, but they spun off and then reopened under an assumed name. Not sure about their sports packages. usually just the primary channels (ESPN's, FSW, etc)

I could recommend Ringers or Legends, they typcially have a lot more sports packages. Maybe even Pluckers would be a good place, but they are usually very crowded.

For any Dallas Braves fans (or other MVC fans) Frankie's Sports Bar on McKinney Ave. in the Uptown neighborhood is a great place to catch a game.

They have all the regional Fox networks and have always put the Braves games on for me when I've been there. In addition to a wide assortment of beverages, they have great food, and best of all, allow cigar smoking! :p. I'm not sure how they do it since there is a ban on all smoking in Dallas restaruants, but they do. The place is very solid and within one block of Primo's, the best Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas (IMO).

You should be smoking victory cigars in St. Louis instead of a sports bar in Dallas.....;)

I was at Daddy's on 6th Street in Austin yesterday and I learned that they do not carry Fox Midwest. I'll research places tomorrow and let you all know where we will be for any fans in Austin. Right now, I am leaning toward Ringers if they carry Fox.

Austin Texas Posters: Two of us are going to be watching the game on Friday at 3rd Base on 6th Street, right before the MoPac exit ramp on your left. We've learned that they do carry FoxSports Midwest and will turn on the game for us.

We would love to meet other posters in the area, so please join us! We will be in our Braves gear or wearing red at the very least. If you can't find us, ask the host or bartender for JB and s/he will point you in the right direction. I'll probably catch the rest of this weekends games at Legends in NW Austin. It's closer to my house, but tomorrow I need to be downtown for an early meeting and concert after the game.
