St. John's Jesuit is playing in an 8 team Jesuit high school tournament in Tampa, Florida, the Cookie Garcia Jesuit Invitational.
They played the host team, Tampa Jesuit HS tonight. Tampa Jesuit was 12-1 prior to tonight's game.
St. John's Jesuit won 61-57 to improve to 7-1. Race Kowalczyk was the leading scorer with 22 points.
Race had five threes in the first half to carry SJJHS.

Final score- Rockhurst 56 St. John's 34 - Rockhurst wins the championship of the tournament.

Race Kowalczyk had an off game and only had 6 points. He was guarded all game by a fairly athletic 6'7" kid from Rockhurst, and he had trouble getting shots. Race was named to a the All-Tournament team.

Rockhurst is a much bigger school (about 1000 enrollment vs ~500), but looks like St. John’s did not have a good game. Race is gonna face defenders like that at the college level - so keep working!
