Rayvonte Rice is #1 draft pick

Ejim did play very selfishly in this league IMO. He did not pass and get his teammates involved as much as he should have. With that said, he was the first player ever to lead the league in scoring, rebounding and steals so he fairly well dominated the league. Does not mean he will be a big time player in the Big 12, but he has a nice skill set from what I saw of him. Good build, better range and handle than I expected, attacks the glass hard and solid athleticism. He also has Ivy League academics and is a very well spoken young man.

No arguments there. Ejim is a nice player, and seems like a good kid. My comments weren't really meant as any disrespect to him, but were a reply to a strawman argument being made by another poster.

The Cap City League was kind of strange this season, at least from a Drake fan perspective. It was much more Iowa State dominated than usual, and it's not because of any problem with Drake's players.....it's just that the Drake guys simply didn't play much. Only 1 of Drake's 13 scholarship players played in more than half of his team's games, and that guy played in only 6 out of 10.

In the last three sessions (3 games each) prior to the semi-finals and championship, not a single Drake scholarship player was there, and only 3 of the Drake guys made it for the semi-finals and championship. Drake players on average played in less than 1/3 of the possible games. I don't know if I should read anything into that or not.

Recruiting is a total crap shoot and who knows. However, I really wish Bradley had signed the Rice kid. I really think Drake came to Illinois and got a steal there. Like all recruits, time will tell.

One of the keys for us to win tonight is controling Rayvonte Rice. He is off to a great start to his freshman season. He is their leading scorer and also averages just over 4 rebounds per game. He is 2nd in the MVC in steals. Shut him down!

RR = Nate Minnoy...a great HS player but won't be able to do the things he did in high school in a college setting where everyone is taller than he is...
Care to change your mind about RR. He's not only better then any Frosh we may have, but is better then anyone in a Brave uni except AW.

He has nice skills, but I did not see anything special tonight. I don't think this was one of his better games.
He was 3-9, 0-3 from three, with 8 rebounds and 5 turnovers in 35 min.

So, a freshman who didn't have one of his better games finishes with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks (really had 4, but official scorer apparently missed one), 3 assists and a steal. Can't wait to see what happens in one of his better games.

I'll definitely take 8 rebounds and 3 blocks from a guard any day. Kinda makes up for the off day offensively.

Can we make a trade? We've got about six guys I'd give you for him.

DC, good one. Now I know your kidding me right!! He is in the top ten in our league in scoring and you only think he has nice skills. I saw him several times in HS and I promise you we missed the boat on him. He is the real deal. Plus he's a Freshman , how are ours doing.

I agree as this guy is a player, he does everything and I would like to have him.

Da Coach;184143 He is a very similar player to Marcus Jordan said:
I wouldn't have minded Jordan in a BU uni....he's averaging over 16 a game for an undefeated UCF team as a sophomore
